Due to a decrease in passenger numbers, "MAX" service X12 no longer warrants the use of a double-deck vehicle. As such, this vehicle has transferred from Belmont Depot to Ashington, to be used primarily on "MAX" service X20. Its sub-branding for services 202/203 (Leeds - Huddersfield) from its previous use at Arriva Yorkshire has also been removed.

From Monday 1st October 2018 to Saturday 3rd November, no trains will run between Chichester and South Shields. This is to allow for track and signal upgrades for the new South Shields Interchange, due to open in 2019. Go North East has been awarded the contract to operate Metro Replacement bus service number 900 for the duration of the line closure.

Having been required to enter service temporarily in Bluestar's corporate livery, this vehicle has now been taken out of service to enable completion of repaint and fitment of a cab door vandal screen. This example has now been repainted into Go North East's corporate livery and carries the tagline "Recharge your batteries | Many of our buses have power sockets on board".
