This should allow the withdrawal of the final Dennis MPD/Alexander Mini Pointer vehicle in the fleet, 619 (NK55 RUW), to be withdrawn from service at Hexham.

It has been allocated to Washington to operate the newly awarded contracts at Washington and to also act as a spare vehicle for "Red Arrows" services X1 and 921, like the similar examples (3941 - 3943) already allocated to the depot.

It is the final vehicle of the trio of former Dawson Rental Optare Solos to be allocated to Peterlee, meaning that "Wear Xpress" services X6/X7 should revert to the original allocation of 4x Optare Solo, with three of the boards having been temporarily allocated Scania L94UB/Wright Solar vehicles since March owing to a shortage of minibuses. Alongside sisters 719 (YJ62 FME) and 720 (YJ62 FYH), it should act as the spare vehicle for the "indiGo East Durham" and "Wear Xpress" branded services in the event that any of the branded vehicles are unfit for service.... see more
September 2018 Go North East Photograph by Alongside sister 5487 (HW07 CXY); as well as primarily acting as a spare vehicle for "Connections4" service 4 (serving as a replacement vehicle for Scania CN230UB/Scania Omnicity 5263 (NK56 KJY) in the fleet which had transferred to Percy Main at the start of September), this vehicle will also be allocated to newly-awarded Nexus Miscellaneous Works contracts operating from the depot. It has now entered service at Washington following completion of repaint, and should allow for sister 5487 (HW07 CXY) to be taken out of service for repaint and fitment of a vandal screen.

At Washington; this vehicle will act as a spare vehicle for the entire minibus network at the depot, alongside one of the similar examples, 701 - 704, already allocated.
September 2018 Go North East Following the cascade of Optare Solo M880/Optare 705 (YJ10 MFN) to Washington Depot, where it will act as a spare vehicle for Washington's minibus services, this vehicle has transferred from Washington Depot to Deptford. It is intended for this vehicle to transfer onward to Peterlee Depot, where it will enable Scania L94UB/Wright Solar 5206 (NK54 NVA) to transfer back to Chester-le-Street.
September 2018 Go North East Photograph by Following the cascade of Optare Solo M710SE/Optare 706 (WK58 EAE) and 707 (WK58 EAF) to Washington Depot, which will be the new minibus allocation for Nexus-secured service 23, this vehicle has transferred from Washington Depot to Riverside. It is intended for this vehicle to transfer onward to Hexham Depot, where it originated prior to the temporary transfers taking place earlier this year.
