This vehicle has been repainted into Arriva's new corporate livery. The company's new corporate identity, which includes a new logo and brighter colours, will be applied across the group in a phased introduction. The group said a 'cost effective and evolutionary approach' will be taken, which will see the new colours and livery rolled out from Q1 2017 as and when vehicles and other materials are due to be updated or repainted, while the refreshed logo is expected to be introduced from 2018.
Following the cascade of Scania N94UD/East Lancs OmniDekka vehicles from Stanley, this vehicle has entered a float/reserve position within the fleet. It will be retained over the summer to cover additional vehicle requirements (such as the Sunderland Tall Ships Park & Ride services), and will only be retained in the fleet beyond summer if Go North East is awarded Miscellaneous Works Nexus contracts from September 2018. It has now transferred to Deptford Depot.

It is one of a batch of 8 pre-owned Optare Solos being acquired by Go North East, due to a shortage of minibuses following the award of contracts. This example is of a more ‘premium’ specification, featuring high-back Civic V3 seats with black leather headrests, and is also fitted with Next Stop Announcements. Retained beyond its initial expected withdrawal date to replace Transbus MPD/Transbus Mini Pointer 559 (NK53 TKY) in the fleet at Riverside, this vehicle's MOT has now expired and as such has been withdrawn from service at Riverside Depot. It will be replaced in the fleet at Riverside by Optare Solo SR M890/Optare 722 (KY63 VTA) once this vehicle is prepared for service following delivery.
