Due to extra vehicle requirements associated with operating Metro Replacement services between Monument and Monkseaton, as well as operating Port of Tyne Cruise Ship shuttle services, this vehicle has temporarily entered service at Riverside Depot on the Jewish Scholars 850/851 contract. This, in turn, has allowed the ordinary Scania N94UD/East Lancs OmniDekka allocation, 6126 (GX03 SUY), 6127 (GX03 SVA), and 6129 (GX03 SVD), to operate the Metro Replacement services instead.
Previously with Brighton & Hove as fleet number 907, this vehicle has now joined the Go North East fleet. In order to improve the appearance of the Driver Training fleet, the entire batch of Scania L94s are to undergo repaint. Having previously carried a plain red base livery, this vehicle has now received a plain blue livery. It is intended for the batch to have branding fitted in the future, showcasing some of the benefits of joining "Team GNE" thereby acting as a mobile advertisement for the company's recruitment programme.
Following the entry into service of the former Go-Ahead London General Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TLs at Stanley; this vehicle has transferred from Stanley Depot to Percy Main, to enable the withdrawal of older Plaxton President bodied Volvo B7TLs.
The final example of its type in the fleet, this vehicle has now been withdrawn from service at Riverside Depot. To commemorate the service provided by this batch of vehicles over the last 19 years, this vehicle was displayed by Go North East at the North East Bus & Coach Show near Spillers Wharf, Newcastle upon Tyne, on 6th May 2018.
