Prior to entering service, this vehicle has received "Toon Link" branding. A new vinyl has also been added to the first window on the nearside, close by the doors, which promotes the ability to pay by a contactless card on Go North East buses for any single, return or day tickets. As well as allowing the standard VISA and Mastercard credit and debit cards, payment via Apple and Android Pay on mobile devices is also permitted. The vinyl aims to catch the eye of those in a queue boarding the bus, promoting the ease of travelling on Go North East buses, with there no longer being a need to carry the correct amount of change to travel.
