This vehicle has been repainted into Stagecoach's Driver Training livery and had internal modifications completed to allow use within the training school.
In order to upgrade the "Blue Arrow" 11 service, which operates between Whitley Bay and the Metrocentre, via Wallsend, Newcastle and Gateshead, Scania CN230UB/Scania Omnicitys 5266 - 5273 are to be cascaded to the route in line with the entry into service of the former "Angel" branded Volvo B5LH/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2s on the "Coaster" 1/1A services. In a bid to standardise the fleets at Arriva North East and Arriva Yorkshire, the two divisions are undertaking a swap of double-deck vehicle allocations. Arriva North East will receive further VDL DB300/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 vehicles, and will lose the entire batch of ten Volvo B5LH/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 vehicles. Following brief withdrawal from service, this vehicle has now been reinstated at Hexham Depot. It has been reinstated to cover for Hexham's own Mercedes Citaro 0530N/Mercedes Citaro vehicles which are currently off the road undergoing Eminox exhaust system modifications.

This vehicle, which received a country-themed version of the Big Days Out livery on the "Angel" base livery, now acts a spare vehicle for the "Coaster" 1/1A services, which operate on a shared corridor with the "Angel" 21 service. To reduce potential confusion caused by a bus which looks similar to that of the new "Angel" branded Wright StreetDecks on the 21 service, this vehicle has had the front end of the bus painted blue so it looks more similar to the "Coaster" branded allocation.
