This vehicle has returned to Go North East following internal refurbishment and repaint into Go North East's corporate base livery. It is currently undergoing preparation for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot prior to allocation to Washington Depot.
This vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service at Deptford Depot and released for internal refurbished and repaint at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn. The extensive refurbishment work includes, but is not limited to, external repaint; deep cleaning of the interior of the vehicle; renewal of floor coverings; cleaning all seat frames and re-trimming seats into leather with USB sockets on the back of every seat; fitting blue accent lighting underneath seats to provide extra light on the gangway; and fitting Next Stop Announcements.
Following repaint into Go North East's corporate livery, this vehicle has transferred from Hexham Depot to Chester-le-Street. At Chester-le-Street; this vehicle will be primarily allocated to services 13/14, X22 and X25, allowing the cascade of older examples of the same vehicle type to another depot.
Having previously carried "TEN" branding, this vehicle has been repainted into a dark green base livery. As part of ongoing improvements to services on the Tyne Valley, Go North East will re-brand its "TEN" 10/10A/10B/10X services as "Tyne Valley Ten" on a green base livery, moving away from the silver livery which the vehicles allocated to these services have carried since 2008. The new brand is designed to represent the picturesque Tyne Valley corridor and promotes the frequent buses to Metrocentre and Newcastle which the "TEN" group of services provide, up to every 10 minutes. Following the return from refurbishment of the entire batch of vehicles intended to be allocated to the X84/X85 services, Mercedes Citaro 0530N/Mercedes Citaro 5298 to 5302, this vehicle has now received "Tynedale Express" branding. Adopting a similar design to the recent X9 | X10 brand re-launch, albeit primarily blue in colour to provide the biggest contrast against the orange base colour allowing a bigger impact, the livery intends to promote the fast and direct links between Newcastle and Hexham. The rear design focuses on the express nature of the route; depicting a graphic of a road (reflecting the A69), which is the fastest route between the two locations.
Following repaint earlier this year, this vehicle has now received "Venture" branding. The design has been slightly modified compared to the previous version, now no longer including a large white 'V' in the centre of the "Venture" logo, covering the windows. The 'V' is now less prominent and an outline of this letter is instead shown at the back of the bus. As per all recent designs; the fleet names have been modified to include the new company tagline, "Journeys taken care of".
Ahead of the cascade of the former "Angel" branded Volvo B5LH/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 vehicles to Percy Main; where they will be branded for and operate the "Coaster" 1/1A services, this vehicle has been repainted into Go North East's corporate livery. This example carries the tagline "It's our fantastic people - all 2000 of them - that make the wheels on our buses go round and round"
