Adopting a similar design to the recent X9 | X10 brand re-launch, albeit primarily blue in colour to provide the biggest contrast against the orange base colour allowing a bigger impact, the livery intends to promote the fast and direct links between Newcastle and Hexham. The rear design focuses on the express nature of the route; depicting a graphic of a road (reflecting the A69), which is the fastest route between the two locations.

The design has been slightly modified compared to the previous version, now no longer including a large white 'V' in the centre of the "Venture" logo, covering the windows. The 'V' is now less prominent and an outline of this letter is instead shown at the back of the bus. In line with Volvo Olympian/Northern Counties Palatine 2 3832 (S832 OFT) returning to service following gearbox repairs, this vehicle has returned to the Special Events and Private Hire fleet at Riverside.

This vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service at Deptford Depot and released for internal refurbished and repaint at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn. The extensive refurbishment work includes, but is not limited to, external repaint; deep cleaning of the interior of the vehicle; renewal of floor coverings; cleaning all seat frames and re-trimming seats into leather with USB sockets on the back of every seat; fitting blue accent lighting underneath seats to provide extra light on the gangway; and fitting Next Stop Announcements.

It has been released for cascade from Hexham Depot, where it was previously allocated to, following the entry into service of the refurbished Mercedes Citaro 0530N/Mercedes Citaro vehicles on "Tynedalexpress" services X84/X85.
This vehicle has been formally allocated to Riverside Depot, on temporary loan, to be allocated to the private Jewish Scholars Contract services 850/851, due to Volvo Olympian/Northern Counties Palatine 2 3832 (S832 OFT) being off service for a faulty gearbox.
