At Riverside; this vehicle serves as a replacement for Volvo B10BLE/Wright Renown 4898 (V988 ETN), which has been withdrawn to allow sale for preservation.

Reflecting changes to Durham County Council contracts; this vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Peterlee, serving as a replacement vehicle for Optare Solo M710SE/Optare 707 (WK58 EAF) and 708 (WK58 EAG) on Nexus-secured service 168 and service 206, as these vehicles have transferred to Stanley. The allocation of this vehicle to Peterlee is only temporary, as this vehicle is not required at Hexham Depot over the winter season while the Hadrian's Wall Country Bus AD122 service does not operate. It had previously spent some time at Riverside Depot, seeing use as a reserve vehicle for a shuttle bus service in operation in the Winlaton area.

The allocation of this vehicle to Peterlee is only temporary, as this vehicle is not required at Hexham Depot over the winter season while the Hadrian's Wall Country Bus AD122 service does not operate. From Monday 9th October 2017, it had seen allocation to a temporary shuttle bus in operation due to the closure of Chollerford Bridge.

With no preference of which vehicle should be allocated to which service, Stanley Depot has seen the additional requirement for two extra minibuses having been awarded with the five-year contract to operate the Durham Cathedral Bus 40/40A/40B services, previously operated by Stanley Travel.

In order to improve the customer experience on "Toon Link" services 6, X30/X31 and X70/X71, which all provide links between Newcastle, Stanley and Consett, this vehicle has been fitted with free customer Wi-Fi.
With the "Toon Link" branded Scania CN230UB/Scania Omnicity vehicles having been fitted with free customer Wi-Fi to improve the customer experience on the services which these vehicles are allocated to; this vehicle has also been fitted with free customer Wi-Fi, acting as the dedicated spare vehicle for the single-deck allocation on these routes.
In a direct exchange for Dennis Trident 2/Alexander Enviro 400 7532 (NK64 EET); this vehicle has transferred from Belmont Depot to Ashington, to allow for a demonstration trial on "MAX" service X18 (Newcastle - Berwick-upon-Tweed).
