August 2017 Go North East The closure of Pelton Lane (near Pelaw Estate) for road resurfacing during the day, for the week commencing 7th August 2017, has resulted in services 8, 34/34A and 78 being diverted. To cover the area on Pelton Lane near Pelaw and Hilda Park estates; Go North East has been contracted to operate a shuttle service between these locations and Chester-le-Street Town Centre, using this vehicle. As such, it has temporarily transferred from Hexham Depot to Chester-le-Street, for the duration of the contract.

August 2017 Go North East To provide Riverside Depot with extra low-floor double-deck vehicles for the duration of the Metro Replacement contract, this vehicle has transferred from Stanley Depot to Riverside, in exchange for a step-entrance Volvo Olympian from Riverside. A two-phase Major Line Closure will take place between Monday 31st July and Saturday 2nd September 2017 to allow for work at Northumberland Park station and track and bridge renewal work which forms part of the £350m Metro: all change modernisation programme.
August 2017 Go North East To provide Riverside Depot with extra low-floor double-deck vehicles for the duration of the Metro Replacement contract, this vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Stanley, in exchange for a low-floor Dennis Trident/Plaxton President from Stanley. This bus cannot be used in public service whilst at Stanley Depot, due to it not conforming with DDA / PSVAR requirements, but will be used instead on Staff Shuttle services between Stanley Depot, Stanley Bus Station and Consett Bus Station.

August 2017 Go North East This vehicle has returned to Go North East following internal refurbishment and repaint into a light grey base livery. The shade of paint is a different colour to the silver previously used on "The Crusader" service 27, with the company moving away from metallic paint colours in favour of standard solid colours, which are easier to maintain and colour-match when panels are damaged and need to be changed. It is currently undergoing preparation for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot prior to allocation to Riverside Depot.
August 2017 Go North East Having been temporarily withdrawn from service, this vehicle has now been released for internal refurbished and repaint at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn. The extensive refurbishment work includes, but is not limited to, external repaint; deep cleaning of the interior of the vehicle; renewal of floor coverings; cleaning all seat frames and re-trimming seats into leather with USB sockets on the back of every seat; fitting blue accent lighting underneath seats to provide extra light on the gangway; and fitting Next Stop Announcements.
August 2017 Go North East Having previously carried "TEN" branding, this vehicle has been repainted into a dark green base livery. As part of ongoing improvements to services on the Tyne Valley, Go North East will re-brand its "TEN" 10/10A/10B/10X services as "Tyne Valley Ten" on a green base livery, moving away from the silver livery which the vehicles allocated to these services have carried since 2008. The new brand is designed to represent the picturesque Tyne Valley corridor and promotes the frequent buses to Metrocentre and Newcastle which the "TEN" group of services provide, up to every 10 minutes.
