July 2017 Stagecoach North East Photograph by During the University summer holidays, the frequency of service 1 (Slatyford - Newcastle - Coach Lane Campus) is reduced. In years previous, the surplus double-deck vehicles have been loaned out to other divisions. As there is not a requirement for double-deck vehicles to be used within other divisions this year, this vehicle has transferred from Walkergate Depot to South Shields, to provide extra capacity on the E1/E2/E6 group of services over the summer months, between South Shields and Newcastle.

July 2017 Go North East Having sustained severe fire damage in Ovington whilst operating "Tynedalexpress" service X84, Scania L94UB/Wright Solar 5233 (NK55 OLN) has been withdrawn from service at Hexham Depot. As such, this vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Hexham, to replace it. It was released from Riverside following the cascade of Optare Versas from Deptford Depot to operate services 67/69.
