February 2019 Go North East Go North East have ordered five new coaches for the National Express contracts which the company operates. This follows the purchase of seven similar examples on the Scania K360EB4 chassis a few months ago, during November 2018, for East Yorkshire Motor Services. This vehicle, currently registered as BD68 TXL, is now on-site at Caetano UK Ltd's yard on Mill Lane, Coalville, with delivery expected imminently.

This three-quarter life repaint into Go North East's fleet livery reflects the interworking of service 50 with the 5, the fit in of these services in Go North East's network, and the age of the Scania OmniCity fleet. As such this vehicle has now been repainted into Go North East's corporate livery. This example carries the tagline "Recharge your batteries | Many of our buses have power sockets on board".
February 2019 Go North East Following the return to service of "The Castles Express" branded Wright StreetDeck 6304 (NK16 BXD); this vehicle is now part of Chester-le-Street Depot's fleet allocation once again, however presently remains on loan to Crook Depot to alleviate vehicle shortages.

Alongside Scania L94UB/Wright Solar 5204 (NK54 NUX) and 5215 (NK54 NVL), this vehicle should be allocated to a Nexus Miscellaneous Works contract board, releasing a fleet livery Scania CN230UB/Scania Omnicity to operate one of three early-return boards on the "Coaster" 1 and "Cobalt Clipper" 309/310 services. These temporary allocations are as a result of the "Cobalt Clipper" branded Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TLs undergoing repaint and internal refurbishment at Bus... see more

February 2019 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has received a special promotional livery for the "Poetry in Motion" campaign, as part of this year's World Poetry Day. It showcases poems by Newcastle-based writer, Anna Woodford. Seven of Anna’s pieces are emblazoned on the bus livery, each based on a three-year study called Co-Motion. Led by York University with Newcastle University, the project examined the link between mobility and well-being of over 55's living in Northumberland, York and Leeds.
February 2019 Go North East In order to enhance the quality of service provided to passengers on services 5 and 50, this vehicle has been fitted with free customer Wi-Fi. This contributes towards Go North East's project to upgrade every service in the Washington and South Tyneside areas with free Wi-Fi.
February 2019 Go North East Following on from the fitment of free customer Wi-Fi to all of the Scania CN230UB/Scania Omnicity buses which operate services 5 and 50, this vehicle has also been fitted with free customer Wi-Fi to ensure the quality of service provided to passengers is maintained on services 4, 5 and 50, for which these vehicles act as spare vehicles for. This contributes towards Go North East's project to upgrade every service in the Washington and South Tyneside areas with free Wi-Fi.

January 2019 Go North East This vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service at Percy Main Depot and released for internal refurbished and repaint at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn. The extensive refurbishment work includes, but is not limited to, external repaint; deep cleaning of the interior of the vehicle; renewal of floor coverings; cleaning all seat frames and re-trimming seats into leather with USB sockets on the back of every seat; fitting blue accent lighting underneath seats to provide extra light on the gangway; installation of tables on the upper saloon with wireless charging pods, and upgrading the 'next stop' audio-visual announcement equipment.
January 2019 Go North East Photograph by Following the demonstration trial of Wright Streetlite DF/Wright Streetlite Micro-Hybrid 3 9092 (SK17 HHL) on "Connections4" service 4 in November 2017, Go North East are now currently trialling vehicles from other manufacturers. The ongoing trials have seen the acquisition of a 9.6m ADL Enviro 200MMC and also Optare's latest 'xFE' variant of the Euro 6 Versa model, allowing Go North East to gather comparative data against the Streetlites, as well as gauging driver and passenger feedback for the duration of their stay.
