Following the completion of the majority of internal repaint and re-trims on the former Brighton & Hove Scania N94UD/East Lancs OmniDekka vehicles at Stanley, this vehicle has been returned to Riverside Depot's Special Events Fleet.
In order to improve the appearance of the Driver Training fleet, the entire batch of Scania L94s are to undergo repaint. Having previously carried a plain red base livery, this vehicle has now received a plain blue livery. It is intended for the batch to have branding fitted in the future, showcasing some of the benefits of joining "Team GNE" thereby acting as a mobile advertisement for the company's recruitment programme.

This vehicle has entered service at Stanley Depot. Of the batch of thirteen former Go-Ahead London Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 vehicles to be acquired by Go North East, six are to be branded for the "Toon Link" X70/X71 services, while the remaining seven are to carry Go North East's corporate livery. Three of the examples in Go North East's corporate livery are to be allocated to services 15/15A, and the remaining four act as spare vehicles for the double-deck services based at Stanley.
Prior to entering service at Go North East, this vehicle has received Go North East's corporate livery. This example has been fitted with the tagline, "Stay Connected | Many of our buses have free WiFi on board"
Following completion of preparation for service; this vehicle has returned to service at Riverside Depot, for use on the private Jewish Scholars contract, replacing the elderly step-entrance Volvo Olympian/Northern Counties Palatine 2 vehicles currently in this capacity at Riverside.
The contract for service 168, currently operated by Peterlee Depot, is to be extended until May 2019. To improve the efficiency of the low-cost rota at Chester-le-Street, the operation of service 168 and evening service 237 will transfer to Chester-le-Street from 14th April 2018. As such, this vehicle has transferred from Peterlee Depot to Chester-le-Street, to operate these services.
