April 2018 Go North East As part of its bid to have the UK’s greenest bus fleet and following its continued investment in new vehicles and technology, Go North East has acquired this vehicle on temporary loan. During its three-week loan period to Go North East, the vehicle is expected to be allocated to Riverside Depot on the X66 (Gateshead - Metrocentre) service. The pilot is part of the award-winning bus company’s ongoing efforts to introduce greener vehicles into its 650-strong fleet. In the past five years, it has invested over £44million in buying new buses and £2m has been dedicated to upgrading vehicles; retro-fitting systems to make them more fuel efficient while reducing emissions.... see more
April 2018 Go North East Replaced in the fleet at Chester-le-Street Depot following Scania L94UB/Wright Solar 4958 (NL52 WVO) and 4960 (NL52 WVR) returning to full service at Chester-le-Street following the award of new Nexus contracts, this vehicle has transferred to Deptford Depot. It is planned for the vehicle to transfer onward to Peterlee, where this vehicle will see temporary allocation to "Wear Xpress" services X6/X7, with the displaced Optare Solo SR M890 being allocated to another service.

Of the batch of thirteen former Go-Ahead London Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 vehicles to be acquired by Go North East, six are to be branded for the "Toon Link" X70/X71 services, while the remaining seven are to carry Go North East's corporate livery. Three of the examples in Go North East's corporate livery are to be allocated to services 15/15A, and the remaining four act as spare vehicles for the double-deck services based at Stanley.
