January 2018 Go North East Following repaint; this vehicle has received "Coaster" branding, with sub-branding for services 1/1A (Whitley Bay - Wallsend - Newcastle - Gateshead). The branding features the tagline "ELECTRIC HYBRID", showing a leaf with an electric bolt within it, promoting Go North East's commitment to providing more environmentally-friendly buses in the region.

As part of these service changes; the section of the route on service 9 between Jarrow and North Shields will be replaced by service 5, and, from Jarrow, service 9 will now run to Lukes Lane Estate, via Argyle Street, Lyon Street, Hebburn Town Centre, Hartleyburn Estate and Monkton Lane Estate, replacing this section of services 88/88A. January 2018 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Hexham, on temporary loan, to cover for Mercedes Citaro 0530N/Mercedes Citaro 5298 (NK08 CHC) which is currently off the road whilst undergoing repairs having sustained minor fire damage.
January 2018 Go North East From 28th January 2018, Go North East are making changes to a number of services to improve reliability and to allow new travel opportunities. As part of these service changes, a number of fleet re-allocations are to be made. These changes were originally intended to allow this vehicle to be withdrawn from service at Riverside as it was the only example of its type at Riverside not to receive Euro 5 SCRT modifications; however, as Go North East are bidding for a number of minibus contracts, effective 18th March 2018, it will be retained temporarily pending the award of these contracts.

January 2018 Go North East Following the entry into service of new double-deck vehicles on "Angel" service 21, representing a £4.3 million investment, this vehicle has been repainted into a plain light blue base livery. It is planned for this vehicles, and the others in its batch, to be branded for the "Coaster" services and transfer to Percy Main to operate services 1/1A (Whitley Bay - Wallsend - Newcastle - Gateshead).
January 2018 Go North East Photograph by Service changes effective 28th January 2018 will see the fleet position at Deptford being restored to its normal balance. As such, one of Deptford's own vehicles will operate the Timber Beach Road shuttle bus for the remainder of the road closure, and this vehicle has consequently transferred from Deptford Depot to Riverside, in accordance with the originally-intended re-allocation plan, to allow the withdrawal of the final Volvo B10BLE/Wright Renown in the fleet, 4899 (V989 ETN).

It is intended to be allocated to services 67 (Wardley - Metrocentre) and 69 (Wardley - Winlaton), replacing HOptare Versa V1110/Optare 8307 (NK09 FVH) which currently serves this purpose at Riverside Depot.

As part of the £4.3 million investment to upgrade the "Angel" service 21, which is currently allocated Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B5LHs, partially funded by a grant of £1,119,235 in Round 3 of the Green Bus Fund in 2012, Go North East has also ordered two dedicated spare vehicles to the same internal specification as the branded ones. January 2018 Go North East From 28th January 2018, Go North East are making changes to a number of services to improve reliability and to allow new travel opportunities. As part of these service changes, "South Tyne" services 88/88A have been withdrawn and replaced by revised service 9 and new "Crusader" service 26. As such, this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service at Riverside Depot, to allow completion of repaint prior to cascade to another route.

At Washington; this vehicle will act as a spare vehicle for "Connections4" service 4 and "Whey Aye Five 0" services 5/50, replacing the Mercedes Citaros in fleet livery which currently serve this purpose at Washington.
