June 2017 Go North East Photograph by Following the entry into service of new Wright Streetlites on "Black Cats" services 2/2A and 39, this vehicle has transferred from Deptford Depot to Riverside. At Riverside, this vehicle will provide another spare vehicle to the same specification as those branded for "Quaylink" services Q1/Q2/Q3 and "Citylink" service 58.

June 2017 Go North East A large number of double-deck vehicles are required over the summer months, due to Go North East being awarded with the contracts to operate additional services for special events and Metro Replacement. As such; this vehicle, which would have otherwise been withdrawn in line with the cascade of Optare Versas from Deptford Depot to Riverside, has instead been moved into a float/reserve capacity at Riverside Depot, and will be allocated to a Miscellaneous Works running board normally allocated a double-deck vehicle, but does not contractually require this capacity during school holidays, releasing the double-deck vehicle normally allocated for Metro Replacement work.

The Optare Versas currently allocated to services 2/2A are in line to be cascaded to another depot, whilst the Scania L94s currently allocated to service 39 are in line to cascade to services 38 and 61 at Deptford.

June 2017 Go North East This vehicle has transferred from Hexham Depot to Chester-le-Street's Coaching Unit, on temporary loan, to provide extra coaches for the annual Glastonbury Festival.

June 2017 Go North East This vehicle, which carries a light red base livery, has arrived into the Go North East fleet. It is currently being prepared for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot. Manufactured by Wrightbus in Northern Ireland, this batch of vehicles feature the latest Euro 6 Micro-Hybrid engines with the cleanest vehicle emissions standards. Unlike previous examples in the fleet, they therefore feature a Wrightbus grille on the rear bonnet, providing additional air circulation. Similar to all recent orders, these vehicles feature Esteban Civic V3 seating complete with e-leather; two-colour Tarabus 'Wood Effect' flooring; and blue accent lighting, which is fitted underneath seats, to provide extra... see more

June 2017 Go North East Following the entry into service of new Wright Streetlites on "Black Cats" services 2/2A and 39, this vehicle has transferred from Deptford Depot to Riverside. At Riverside, this vehicle will act as a temporary replacement for VDL SB120/Wright Merit 8266 (NK04 ZNE), which has been withdrawn having sustained defects uneconomical to repair. The Metrocentre Shuttle S1 service is due to be withdrawn from Sunday 23rd July and replaced by an extended X66 service on a lower frequency, when this vehicle will be cascaded to operate services 67 (Metrocentre - Wardley) and 69 (Winlaton - Wardley) at Riverside.
June 2017 Go North East This vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service at Riverside Depot and released for internal refurbished and repaint at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn. The extensive refurbishment work includes, but is not limited to, external repaint; deep cleaning of the interior of the vehicle; renewal of floor coverings; cleaning all seat frames and re-trimming seats into leather with USB sockets on the back of every seat; fitting blue accent lighting underneath seats to provide extra light on the gangway; and fitting Next Stop Announcements.

June 2017 Go North East Following the recent withdrawal of Scania L94UB/Wright Solar 4934 (Y934 ERG); this vehicle has now been fitted with free customer Wi-Fi, and should, alongside similar 5201 (NK54 NUU) and 5202 (NK54 NUV), be allocated to the DU2 service when it runs.

June 2017 Go North East Ahead of the introduction of new vehicles on "Tyne Tees Xpress" services X9/X10, which are due for delivery in August, this vehicle has been fitted with Next Stop Announcements. The entry into service of the new vehicles on the X9/X10 services will allow for the existing allocation on these services to cascade to other routes - either being branded, or acting as spares, for services which have Wi-Fi, Next Stop Announcements and power sockets.
