This vehicle has entered service at Deptford Depot on "Black Cats" services 2/2A (Silksworth - Washington) and 39 (Doxford Park - Pennywell). The Optare Versas currently allocated to services 2/2A are in line to be cascaded to another depot, whilst the Scania L94s currently allocated to service 39 are in line to cascade to services 38 and 61 at Deptford.
This vehicle was first loaned to Blackpool Transport, who have recently taken a sizeable number of ADL Enviro400City vehicles, after being displayed at the Hilton Hotel in Blackpool on 9th May 2017 for the ALBUM Conference, but has now joined the Go North East fleet for a three-week period, where it has received fleet number 9096.
For the duration of its three-week loan period at Go North East, the vehicle will be allocated to Percy Main. The first fortnight will be spent allocated to "indiGo" services 40/41, then 42/42A, as a direct comparison against the low-carbon Optare Solo SR M925/Optare vehicles allocated to these services. Prior to its disposal; this vehicle has lost its cherished registration mark CU 7661 which has been held on retention to be re-allocated to another vehicle in the fleet. As such, this vehicle has received its original registration mark of NK51 UCU.
Though withdrawn during May 2016 with the intention of selling this vehicle on to another operator, this vehicle has instead now been reinstated at Chester-le-Street Depot's Coaching Unit. It is not intended to be used on National Express work, but will instead be allocated to Private Hire work, operating from Chester-le-Street.

Unlike previous examples in the fleet, they therefore feature a Wrightbus grille on the rear bonnet, providing additional air circulation. In line with the entry into service of new Wright Streetlites on services 2/2A; this vehicle, which was previously allocated to these services and branded as "SimpliCity", has been repainted into Go North East's corporate livery. This example carries the tagline "It's our fantastic people - all 2000 of them - that make the wheels on our buses go round and round"
This vehicle has transferred from Hexham Depot to Riverside Depot's Driver Training fleet, to allow new drivers in the Coaching Unit to experience driving a tri-axle coach.
Prior to returning to service at Riverside Depot; this vehicle has received "Citylink" branding, with sub-branding for service 57. The livery design has been slightly revised in line with the new features being available on the bus, and the cant rail has been revised to show the standardised design, with the text showing the words "Buses run early til late • Into the heart of the city up to every 20 minutes".
Following the arrival of Wright Streetlite DF/Wright Streetlite Micro-Hybrid 5466 (NK17 GHX) at Deptford, this vehicle has returned to service at Stanley.
