There's clips doing the rounds of him shaking Corbyn's hand, before flipping the V's at those standing in the corner.

Copy and pasting is a wonderful thing Fozz Wink

As my former MP, that's a shame...  Rolleyes
Jeremy Corbyn has lost a vote of no-confidence with 172 votes for him to step down as leader and 40 votes for him to remain. Add this to the goodness-knows-how-many MPs who have resigned from the Shadow Cabinet and other positions. I'm pleased I'm not him.

It has no standing in the party rules. Jeremy was democratically elected by the membership of the party, and MPs are more than aware that they could trigger a leadership election with 20% of the PLP nominating a candidate. However, they also know that a challenger is unlikely to be successful standing against Jeremy Corbyn, which is why they're trying to bully him out instead.

Amid all of the media focused Westminster-centric fall-out, a local perspective on the decision to leave the EU.
The candidates for Tory leadership are:
Theresa May MP
Stephen Crabb MP
Michael Gove MP
Andrea Leadson MP
Dr Liam Fox MP
Not one to normally get involved in rumour and conspiracy, I wasn't going to share this.
However, after watching a Denis Skinner video earlier, in which he commented on the links between Chilcott and the ousting of Corbyn...

I dont like Corbyn myself, but what is going on is just nasty, it seems the party are trying to bully out a man who was democratically voted with the biggest mandate in history.

I suspect if anyone decides to challenge Jeremy, the position he is in, with the grassroots support he has, he will manage to win any challenge to his position.

Of course he will. If they get him to quit then they don't face the real prospect of standing a candidate to lose.

I'm sick of people comparing it to the 80s, and accusing it of being another militant tendency. It's not at all. It's simply a candidate commanding support from people, because he is standing on an anti austerity platform. The establishment are terrified of that, because it'll be proven that austerity is a political ideology!

Oh and Tony is bricking it.  Wink
Farage has resigned....again!

Let's see how long it lasts this time around.

What would be the odds of him becoming a Tory???

He says he wants to be part of the team negotiating leaving the EU

He's already been a Tory and it's unlikely they'll have him back after a rather boisterous stint of a rival party echoing some of their core values thus potentially splitting the Conservative vote.

Today, he said he'd be keeping a close eye on negotiations to leave the EU (if it ever happens). After last week's display in the European Parliament, I think it's extremely unlikely that he'd be invited to participate in any negotiation team.

I'd even say it's more likely for you to be asked before Farage. You should lay down some odds on yourself.

Mr Fozz's Turf Accountancy...Best keep my books closed for now [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]

I only saw something very brief about his behaviour in the EU Parliament, was his behaviour rather childish to say the least

Results of the first of many (probably) Tory leadership votes:

Theresa May - 165 votes
Andrea Leadsom - 66 votes
Michael Gove - 48 votes
Stephen Crabb - 34 votes
Liam Fox - 16 votes

Coming in last place means that Fox's leadership campaign is over.

Andrea Leadsom has just withdrawn from the Tory Leadership race meaning that Theresa May will be the next Prime Minister.
Corbyn has been 'allowed' to stand in Leadership ballot.
After Thatcher-ism and everything else since, will May-hem be the term that sums up the period of politics we are about to enter?

Her cabinet will be made up of the following:

Leavers
Boris Johnson - Foreign Secretary
David Davis - Brexit Secretary
Liam Fox - International Trade Secretary
Remainers
Philip Hammond - Chancellor
Amber Rudd - Home secretary
Michael Fallon - Defence Secretary

It will be interesting to see how the lawsuit with Davis VS Home Office is going to.pan out now!

Tom Blenkinsop seems to be on the warpath tonight. Has anyone been #BlockedByBlenkinsop yet?

Nope. Tom Watson did block me though, as I kept referring to him as a hatchet man.

In other news - Labour leadership ballot papers have started being issued yesterday. I received my electronic paper yesterday, and my vote has gone in for Corbyn.
Jeremy Corbyn has been re-elected as leader of the Labour Party

And with an increased majority this time round - 61.8% of the vote.
So did anyone watch the final debate in America?

It's mildly funny watching some of the content people make with regards to both of them - "Trumpty Dumpty wants to build a wall" etc.
