GNE posted a link on their Facebook page to an article by Design Curial which discusses the world's 10 best designed bus stations.

Four from the UK make the list. In no particular order these are Poole, Slough, Preston and Vauxhall.

All of these structures look stunning in one way or another but the list is rather euro-centric. Surely, there must be some well-designed bus-stations of merit outside of Europe.

Aren't Preston and Vauxhall threatened with closure?

Never seen the other two - but admit to being taken aback with the other two, for varying reasons!

Preston was threatened with closure but it is now a Grade II listed building according to the article. However, I do remember reading something not so long ago suggesting that it was under threat once again. But I don't know whether it was the actual structure under threat or just how it was used.

Preston is the only bus station I've been to from that list - I quite liked it to be honest.

@Michael:- The link works for me so I have no idea why it doesn't work for you. I agree, it would be interesting to see what the worst 10 bus stations in the world were.
