Thats what I was on about, I was on the 2C earlier got half way before having to reverse back to the Bus Stop, as the 2C in the opposite Direction had also got half way Across.

I've seen it happen a million and one times over the years. Used to be more common when there was more routes serving it.
Just to remind or let you in on Malarkey's cryptic messages, bridges etc.

Deptford had a Renown, that had issues with reversing.
Because of this, it was allocated to the 2a/2c - as it didn't need to reverse at any point in the route (there are other Deptford based routes that don't need the vehicle to reverse like...).

Malarkey was worried about the bridge at Harraton and the coming together of the Renown and another bus on the bridge (which is single file).

Obviously peoples imaginations went wild and there were all sorts of potential problems across Washington, with pheasants, Greggs vans, road closures etc and general gridlock - caused by the coming together of two buses, one of which couldn't reverse...

There is the story if anyone is interested.
Too many mentions of 4920, so used the key word 'pheasant' to track it down!

They're also running a competition to win a freebie:

It would be great if GNE made more things available through eBay.

I notice they sold a ticket machine at some point. Wonder what other collectibles they have which could be sold?
There could have been all the kit which wasn't transferred from Sunderland Road or Winlaton to the new depot as a start.

I imagine there has been quite a bit of stuff horded over the years, that could be sold.

One of the employees involved in moving stuff kept most of it and actually offered enthusiasts to come and pick it up if they wanted it at the time, after Riverside became operational.
Some folks would have paid good money to buy all of the stuff he'd been offering - shame it seemingly wasn't thought about really (all proceeds could have gone to charity or something).
Repainted red Mercedes Citaro 0530N/Mercedes Citaro 5275 (NK07 KPG) returned to Riverside this morning following engine modifications at Smiles.

On a related note, "Blaydon Racers" branded Mercedes Citaro 0530N/Mercedes Citaro 5278 (NK07 KPN) was sent to Saltmeadows for repaint this morning too. Getting through these Mercs quite quickly - paint prep should get done tomorrow and it should enter the paintshop early next week. Hopefully get two of them done next week and be one ahead of schedule!

Fleet lists updated accordingly.
I have worked at places where stuff has been sold/given away to staff, families or enthusiasts - depending on what it was.
The best stuff always vanished quickly or prior to the announcement.

The money was generally smaller amounts and more than likely didn't go through the books either.
Whether the real powers that be, knew about it - was another matter.
Services X7/X10 both arrived in Middlesbrough about 20 minutes late.

The last of the dfds sea ways buses came out the paint shop this morning in Orange and White. Seen it when I was delivering there this morning. Would imagine it will be going to Thornton bros for deep clean

Scania L94 4935 is now fit and healthy again, and has consequently been transferred from Deptford to Chester this morning (acting as 4852's replacement).
Can anyone guess what the next role of Dennis MPD/Transbus Mini Pointer 524 (NA52 AWG) might be..? Conveniently coincides with the end of the Felling Estate shuttle service....
