Is the Gemini deliberate in this or does it just happen to be on here, wasn't sure if it was related to the ones due to enter service

Does anyone know if this is an extra service to the 59, or a variation of the 59? The article and registration information on VOSA doesn't seem clear. Article doesn't say 59 is replaced, and the 59 is varied not cancelled on VOSA, as well as a new 359 introduced - a bit strange?

No, stock image - the change leaflets have Arriva Yorkshire's Pulsar 1470 on the front.
Looking at the Arriva fleet list and noticed this:
http://northeastbuses.co.uk/fleet/anefle...very=&year=
It shows this 61 reg as been new in 2009 which is impossible as the 61 reg came out in 2011.
It also looks to be like that for all of the NK61 EB- examples.

Thanks, I will change that when I get home.

No problem, we don't want these fleet lists to turn out like GNEs, full of mistakes Tongue

Fixed this.
  • 7505-13 also fixed - regs were Dxx originally, have amended these to read Gxx.

  • Updated to add a few of the Belmont Pulsars which have "A Captain's Tale" branding which I seemed to have missed out previously.

  • 2801 added - not sure why it wasn't on the fleet list before!

  • A few other minor updates which I'm still doing now.

Latest Pulsar to be de-branded at Stockton is 1450. Was out on service 27/27A today. Only 3 to go, 1447/48/49.

Sorted those out now too!

Fleet lists should be fully up-to-date now!

Please do PM me, e-mail me, reply to this thread (whatever you want to do basically) if you find an error or something which needs to be updated. Ta!
Got a little quick question about Arriva. Me and my friends are off to Scarborough next Thursday on the bus for a random day out. Does the X93 still leave from Stand 8 at Middlesbrough?

Nexus dude on the 23 (Solo 2817) this morning - standing at the front assisting with ticketing.
Have my complaints finally been listened to?!

Why you complain for? We talking the Arriva 23, Hartlepool-Sunderland?

Yes we are.

I'm surprised you haven't seen my many complaints on this forum regarding very few Belmont drivers being aware of Tyne and Wear ticketing options (namely the Nexus CAT in my case). Each and every time an Arriva driver refuses me travel, I bang in a complaint to both Arriva and Nexus.

It seems to be the case that not many drivers from Belmont know about any ticketing options in Tyne and Wear simply because we don't sell that many. I think there are about 10/11 drivers out of the entire depot that understand the tickets through doing the M2/3s

Doesn't that tell you that something needs doing though?
Whether it is the drivers on the m2/m3, x2 or 23 - there is no excuse for regular drivers on those routes being unaware of the ticketing options.

Indeed I believe GNE drivers have to carry a copy of all tickets, zonal structures etc...

Shouldn't have to be passengers explaining what tickets can be used.

Even if ANE drivers don't get the info to lug around with them nor given info on a noticeboard from management - using their initiative and spending 5mins on the Nexus/Network Ticketing website before a shift, isn't asking much.

A kid this morning got on the 23 and said, "Do you go to Southmoor school?"
The driver responded, "I don't know."

The kid explained how it was just before Grangetown, and the driver still had no idea - the Nexus dude stepped in and said, "Yes you can get on this bus."

Assuming there are rotas of sorts whereby drivers are usually found on the same group of services, I really think not knowing ticketing options or places served en-route is ridiculous.

That doesn't just happen on ANE services coming into unknown territories Wink

Asking for singles to 'the new houses just over Fatfield Bridge' (they're over twenty years old) or having to explain where Biddick Woods is, has been a regular occurrence over the years.

Mind, tell an ANE driver you want to get off at The Majestic and they know exactly where you mean!
That's the problem, we don't generally have service specific rotas at Arriva as far as I know, for example my rota at Stockton has 56 drivers on it and the only service we don't touch is the X2. We do everything else that the depot does, but ask me for a place around Peterlee or Wingate etc and I wouldn't have a clue... I know my route (ie the 21A) and that's it... Somebody asked me if I went past St Bedes School earlier, which was met with a 'Where's that?' lol
I have a hard time keeping up with the Durham tickets never mind T&W and the passengers will know best what they want. For example I've still never sold a East Durham Triple ticket (day or week yet) - I just know they're valid as far as Wingate.

In other news, Pulsar 1449 has been debranded leaving just two to do - 1447 and 1448

The 21A used to go passed St Bedes school in Peterlee (Grampian Drive/Passfield Way) until Arriva decided to run the 21A same route as service 21 between the Moorcock and Peterlee bus station, due to the 21a getting caught in traffic on the junction of Passfield Way and Grampian Drive especially at school opening and closing time and rush hour traffic using Passfield way to get to the A19 southbound a lot quicker.

I bought a East Durham triple ticket the other day on service 22, triple ticket is valid upto Station Town from Peterlee.
Arriva allocation on Metro Replacement this afternoon is:
7471, 7473, 7474 and TGM Classic T319FGN.
I tried to track the buses against the published timetable but departures and arrivals from Jarrow appeared random rather than timed.
What route changes are being made to the 306?
If Arriva we're looking for a route change for the 306 (and no, I'm not being biased towards GNE, I'm looking from a marketing POV), I'd say this would be likely:

- Pulling it out of Battle Hill due to GNE dominating the corridor with 11 buses per hour.

- It would operate the same route as the 308 to Billy Mill to provide a more even frequency and to stop the 10 minute gaps between the two services. 308 would run more on time therefore, preventing GNE's latest investment of high spec B9's putting the 308 under threat with regards to timings and facilities.

- Might no longer serve Morrisons and Broadway and between Tynemouth and Whitley Bay, follow the GNE Coaster route to take advantage of the Wrekenton runs that can be prone to reliability issues.

- Frequency no longer sacraficed for the X9 meaning that both services would be able to cope and run to time.

- Could serve Bedford Street to gain more custom between North Shields and Whitley Bay.
