MAX buses are never off route though?
has anymore enviros turned up for x18
I notice there's a new X1 (Boro-Durham) timetable in place for tomorrow. Looks to only be timing changes. Does this still interwork on a Sunday with there now being an hourly service?

Yes - standard patterns is they depart Boro having come in as a 28B and they then work onto 17s on their return. Weekday changes also see working changes with the early morning Stockton turn that previously ran only as far as Durham and then returned to Middlesbrough working right through to Newcastle.

There's an additional morning Middlesbrough-Framwellgate Moor journey and corresponding return on an afternoon. Also the school holiday gaps have been removed on the X2 (as we lost the schools that it interworked with).
It's been hourly on a Sunday since January.

Might be worth mentioning that our new 85/685 timetable is also introduced tomorrow, with service 185 Carlisle-Haltwhistle being Arrriva operated from Monday also!

AM journey starts in Stockton not Middlesbrough Wink

Excellent thanks. Is it still a Pulsar allocation?

Yes from Stockton it will be. The additional journey will also be a Pulsar, the bus will operate service 6 in the middle of the day.

Yes, the fifth and final one has now arrived. A complete set of registrations are given below:

NK64 EFM
NK64 EER
NK64 EES
NK64 EET
NK64 EEU

None have arrived with fleet numbers applied, but it's more than likely that the fleet numbers will match up with the order of the registrations shown above.

They are only operating 3 journeys.

Three journeys is better than the zero journeys we would have had!

I've got the day off tomorrow, think a photography session and a ride on them is required Smile
Just noticed an X2 starts at Birtley for Durham at 07.35 does anyone know if this is a new service as I don't recall seeing it before and does it run off another Arriva service.

That could fill the gap left by the Stockton operated short to Durham, now extending to Newcastle.
With it extending to Newcastle, a vehicle needs to pick up the 8.15 ex Durham back to Middlesbrough - presumably, this is the one.

Too early for a scholars, but no idea if there is a workers service they have it could have been on earlier.
It's fairly old news now, but I've just spotted it myself yesterday, and the above discussion jogged my memory...

Why has 7619 lost its branding for services X1/X2?

The upper deck windscreen was cracked quite severely so it was replaced and they never bothered to put the vinyls back on.

Ah right, thanks!

Suppose there'd no no point as they'll all be losing them soon regardless
An Arriva Solo was heading West along the A69 around 10.20, with "Private Charter" on it's destination screen. From what I could see (bearing in mind I was in a car going in the opposite direction so I could be totally wrong) was a couple of people standing near the door in blue Arriva polo shirts. Any idea what this was for?

I would hazard a guess at route learning the 185?

Ahh that would make sense, thanks! Smile
Probably worth mentioning that Geminis 7616 and 7625 have returned to Blyth depot following refurbishment to Max specification. The additional vehicles they have will remain until Tuesday after the launch event in Newcastle, at which point a few will likely be withdrawn, or transferred elsewhere. 7511 should depart for Blackburn to be refurbished to Max for service X15, where it will join 7512/3 and 4653/9 undergoing the same process.
Starting on 1st September some journeys on Telford's Coaches route 185 between Haltwhistle Gilsland Brampton and Carlisle are operated instead by Arriva, and retimed by a few minutes. All journeys on this route call at the Market Place in Haltwhistle, and between Brampton and Carlisle buses run via Warwick Bridge instead of Crosby on Eden.

Today at Heysham Docks (all photos @ Malcolm Jones)

Durham's 1574
Durham's 1578
Jesmond's 1589

1575 and 1581 are also still there, so it seems 1576 has joined 1588 at Jesmond.
I'm hopping the new 64 plate buses are out in force tomorrow

I'll be amazed if any are out tomorrow! Majority are still at Jesmond as far as I know... The Sapphires are all tucked up in Thornton's yard as they're having their branding applied ahead of launch events in the next few weeks
Someone on here mentioned that they'll be be out tomorrow

I thought Durham's Streetlite's for the 23 were to be in standard livery?

Ah right. That 30 seconds thing can be annoying sometimes as well!
