4653 is currently at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn, being refurbished to "MAX" specification for use on service X15. It's not been at Darlington for quite a while now!

Yes, my bad. I noticed that when the feed reloaded!
Why can't we comment on the 2015 orders thread?!

It was locked because it was rather silly to even start the thread in the first place - this year's orders haven't even all entered service yet!

See this post which applied to all three threads.

Can't comment on that thread either!
Cam only get on here on works computer now, as I'm permanently logged in there. The computers in the library log you out every time and can't ge back in. Presumably can't remember my correct password. I requested a new one to be sent on Saturday to my e mail address but hadn't received it by earlier today.

Check your junk folder. I reset mine the other day, and it came through pretty much instantly.

And if that doesn't work, e-mail dan@northeastbuses.co.uk and I'll reset it manually.
Is there any of the Redcar Sapphires out today. I thought the were launched yesterday and in service today.

They should all be out today unless they have the same problem that Stockton had on there first day
Only 8 StreetLites are out from Redcar/Whitby due to a delay with tax discs. As such, X3/X3a are likely to be Pulsar worked.

EDITED: 1570 is out on X3s so it looks like they might have 13 ready after all
I thought that tax discs were no longer necessary (at least from 1st October, anyway, but I have heard that they have stopped printing them already).

1572 is on a 1015 X3A so hopefully it will be full Sapphire.
The next stop announcements aren't working on the X3/X4 which means that I thought I was in Saltburn but I'm not so now I don't know where I am.
Next stop announcements also not working on 1573 on the 1100 X4/4 from Middlesborugh (boarded in Redcar) - good job I know where I'm going.
I ended up in Marske, remind me never to do trips to places I don't know.

Now on 1573 in Saltburn and I'm going to Whitby now.
1563 1568 work ok
Got service 4 from Whitby to Loftus and when we got to Loftus Market Place we got an announcement saying something like "this service continues to Middlesbrough as service 4" even though it continues to Boro as the X4 not the 4.

All 14 were out this morning. All 13 X3s, X4s were Sapphire then spare 1573 replaced 1561 due to an issue with the bell. Pretty impressive, especially compared to Stockton's first day last week.

Didn't see any Redcar 40xx or 13xx, but 1638/51/3/5 at least were still in service.

Next stop announcements were working on the two I was on, including an "end of journey, stay in your seats" announcement when got to M'bro! A strange pronunciation of Coatham though!i

Does it sound like Coatham Mundeville does on service 7 which sounds like Coat-Ham.

No, that would be correct for the one in Redcar. But she says Co-tham! Is the service 7 one correct then?

Almost correct but it feels like there is a bit of a gap between Coat and Ham and Ham sounds quite strong.

Ye,in the arriva changes thread.
Ex-Ashington 7436 was parked outside the test lane in Belmont depot last night so should hopefully be on the road in a few days time.
With thanks to Richard Smiles, here is the fleet changes in effect from 23rd September 2014

Redcar/Whitby
1560-73 into service
4648-50 reserve for MAX refurbishement
1306-8 to Darlington
1638/4041/2/4/68/71/94/95 to disposal

Durham
1305 in from Redcar

Darlington
1306-8 from Redcar, replacing 1618/40/50

Reserve
Added are EcoCity 4812-4 and B9TL 7401-6
4648-50 repainted for the 3rd? time yet 4651 still untouched since new!
So the COOs, which were supposed to be fit for the scrapheap years ago, live on. in preference to decent DAFs including 4095 which had just returned to service after being worked on a month!
No mention of any 40xx to Darlington, all 'Disposal'!
