The latest repaint in Newcastle is E400 19441, seen looking rather shiny on service 1 (if I remember right) earlier.
Sunderland MAN 22453 has also be re-painted this week is also looking very shiny. Several of Sunderland's buses have had partial repaints over the last few weeks- just having the red freshened up- 22664,34609,22736 35187

Slightly bizarre - surely this must be top of the list to go when the new buses arrive in a few months??
Not necessarily, theres only 17 MANs getting replaced out of 33. Some of the T/V reg MANs are probably in a worse state.
Sunderland 34610 replaced 35161 on 8s today - with the replacement occurring at 1330.
E400H NK11 DHJ was on a Chapel Park-bound 63 tonight. Leaving Barrack Road around 1915. Is this normal, or is it just the 12s the Hybrids work on to?
I was wondering what had happened to 33126 since it's recent visit to the Wheatsheaf workshops. Doesn't look like further service is on the cards!

Also, thought those Designlines had been sold on. What a waste!
There was a rumour the Designlines were being sold. Obviously didn't happen.
Reckon they're the only vehicle in there to still be in one piece.

Speaking of which, what engine is/was in 33126?
The Designlines were sold, I believe to a company who wanted to convert them. Unfortunately this never happened and they subsequently got sold for scrap.
looks like the company is doing as well as it's Tyneside based vehicles www.charlotteobserver.com/2013/08/16/4241888/bus-maker-designline-files-for.html
