Was the Pointer Dart in the image the one involved in the incident, and how bad was the damage?
Yes it was, not too much damage, should be back next week.

Replaced 27729 which broke down outside South Shields Town Hall.

Does anyone know what caused the breakdown, and did the vehicle have to be recovered, or did the engineers manage to get it started?

No just saw it broke down and 36475 waiting to turn the corner.

Oh dear wonder why

Hardly a serious offence to use it evenings/Sundays. Its not as if its not wheelchair accessible or anything.

Well no.. but its a reserve vehicle and its Sunday service, sure the depot would of had some spare DDA buses...
