They're looking great, can't wait til they go out into service!
Shame about the "every 20 mins" on the back! Must get that fixed...

Third variation of the "every xx minutes", you know.

Does this not refer to the frequency of a twin deck vehicle?

The X21/22 vehicles have a different version to the StreetLites, the 7 deckers have a different version of the frequency. Basically the design has evolved over less than a year.
7540 in Durham this morning.

Thinking about getting a Teen Card, but can I use it on any service in the North East if I send the application form to the Northumberland Teen Card Section?

Yeah, apart from the X93 I think Smile

Cheers. Smile
Wasn't sure if it was only for Northumberland as there are two different ones on the application form. Will be well worth it now they have introduced the new student day savers.
Noticed a comment on Arriva's Facebook relating to MAX specification buses and it says something about the X1 going MAX on 23rd April and X12 on 29th April - not sure what exactly this means and Arriva still seem to think the X1 runs Darlington - Middlesbrough.

This is the post on their Facebook replying to someone's comment
"there are few planned including the X1 Darlington ti Middlesbrough on the 23rd April and the X12 Middlesbrough - Newcastle on the 29th April. Make sure you keep an eye out for them"

Any services in the North East except services X93 and Moorsbus or whatever it's called these days. Now valid on X24. Valid after 6pm Monday to Friday schooldays, anytime Sat and Sun, after 9am Monday to Friday school holidays (check with driver for details of term times.). Not valid on jointly run services (Stagecoach 685 etc.).

Yes I understand the launch for MAX X1 will be on Thursday in Bishop Auckland... Not sure on time yet but likely to be later in the evening

Had a feeling the X1 launch would be in Bishop Auckland seem as they did Darlington not long back for the X26/X27 & X66.

I should be there with my camera.

I thought it was 1830 it was valid after Mon-Fri and after 0915 School Holidays?

I'd really recommend one, I mean my stop to Newcastle and back is only £2!

4pm. Arriva announced it via Facebook. Seems a bit pointless putting what is essentially a light show on at 4pm mind.

The exact wording on the back of mine is:

"may be used after 1800 on Mondays to Fridays, any time on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays and after 0900 during most school holidays "

Just cried a little inside when I realised I only have a year and a bit left on it, before I have to pay full price Sad

Yeah definitely 1800 on a weekday and 0900 holidays.

Bit of a shame. I would have brought the DSLR to work and headed to Bishop Auckland on the X21 from Gateshead straight away - but looks like I won't be able to attend...

It's not too bad, the Darlington launch was in the light (just) and it seemed fine, to me the main attraction people will want to see is Titan and maybe the bus. Obviously it's better if it's dark and they have the blue lights but to do that now it would have to be at 8pm or later and who is going to be in Bishop Auckland Town Centre at 8pm.

Bishop Auckland Town Centre, please be a bit more specific Arriva.

Aye same. I was hoping it'd be later on when it got dark, but I'm not going to rush around going straight to Bishop from work, to see a light show in the broad daylight.

It's more of a shame than anything, as the launch they done in the winter at the Life centre in Newcastle looked amazing.
Fair enough re the timings, shows how much I use mine Big Grin To be fair though I'm always on an Explorer on my trips out as it works out cheaper anyway.

It will probably be better than the Morpeth launch, the only news report about the launch didn't contain Titan, nor the new buses... but a child sitting in the cab "driving the bus"!?
MAX branded 1590 is out on the X1 heading to Bishop Auckland, having just replaced a late running 1406 at Faverdale due to roadworks. Also 1593 was seen going through Cockerton this morning on trade plates.
7525 still has a mismatch panel.
