Not happened often this week, even today:

27167 worked a 52 this morning before being parked up spare in the high street before then going back onto the 52
27163/5 were both on 36/38, 27163 finishing in the depot at 2110 off the last staff buggy from Stockton
27162 is on 58/35/59/61 however I believe that is as a changeover
17028 replaced 22196 on the 13 at 1630 in Middlesbrough towards Salters Lane due to late running

Not particularly rare for unbranded spares to crop up on branded services but we tend to note these for the other operators so thought I'd note that one too.

Don't forget 27739 is away at Cummins so that'll mean one spare will be on every day regardless
35156 is on the 18... decent ride if i'm honest.
22196/24108 on 52/35
24103 on 58/35

Sunderland MAN ALX300 22080 has recently been refurbished and repainted and was on the "E" services today - working the 17:19 E6 from the Salvation Army.

South Shields MAN ALX300 22067 and ADL E200 36473 were also on the "E" services today.

Think there was some big issues today with timekeeping, so South Shields was time-correcting services.

ADL Enviro300 27723 was covering for a branded vehicle on the Es - it was heading into Sunderland out of service earlier so had presumably been regulated. MAN ALX300 22734 was also on the Es.

Also yesterday:
24115 back home on 36s
27172 ended up on 13s presumably as a decker changeover
27168, 22198 and 24106 were also on 52/35
27157 filling in on 36/38

Today
17028/24106 and 27160 on 58/35
17029 on 13 (all day)
27159 on 36/37

While 27731 was on the X20 with 27724 behind it out of service.
I like how honest SC are on Twitter about service cancellations (regulated), compared to GNE!

Saw 36473 on the Es at around 9 this morning so it must have been on since about the depot run out Smile.

I don't think it's down to honesty.

It's quite difficult to compare how each of the three big operators manage their Social Media pages. I haven't seen any 'real time information' updates from Arriva North East on their Social Media page(s), but AVL has been released at customer level, so there isn't such a great need to give these updates as customers can access this information themselves anyway. While Stagecoach is very good at giving real time information updates, I am not entirely sure of how long Stagecoach has had AVL implemented at staff level? Go North East have had AVL at staff level since around Christmas-time, so at the moment, the company is making sure everything works as it should while the customers' mobile phone application app is in development. The service delivery centre is also in a position to manage regulations by looking at one of three screens they have in front of them - drivers needn't radio in to ask if they should be regulated because the service delivery centre should be getting in contact with the driver as soon as he goes over x amount of minutes late. Obviously when all of this is sorted, Customer Services will be able to use the information on Social Media more than they can at the moment, as it'll be more reliable.

You also have to remember that Go North East has a centralised control room and that the Customer Services team are based in a completely separate building. I'm not sure what Stagecoach's set-up is like, but it appears it is separate based on the different time the individual depot 'ops' sign in to the Social Media pages.

Interesting point Dan.
I don't know setup of SC , and I can't comment on Arriva. I didn't know customers have access to the AVL info?

36473 currently on E1.
12086 on 62. It would be nice if it's on the 63 Four Lane Ends-Killingworth at about 2120 tonight

As was 22020 I think it was
24104 and 27164 were both on 36/37, as such 22014 ended up on 52/35 (I think it started the day on 58/35) while 27162 ended up on 58/35
17028 spent the day on 13
17029 meanwhile spent the afternoon on 59/61 on the all night board. 24112 also made an appearance on there from 1530 replacing 22065

Just something to reside over..... Up until now there is only about a third of the fleet at Stockton that the AVL actually works. Some will give you the variance between early and late and some don't. Some will automatically update the fare stages but some don't. It is very much still in the teething stages so to speak. Not all vehicles will pop up on the screen in the office so they might not be aware who is running late or not. mmmmmmmmm

Something else just to note.... not all the vehicles radios work either...Are we going forward people or backwards.....

South Shields e300 27724 on service 11.
28009 on 4s - running in twos!
22734 on Economics.
22410 on 6.
19674 on 39
22735 on 12
I saw a hybrid on 12 so that will have to be called odd because of 674 being on 39

During the evening, and possibly on Sunday(?), some Hybrid E400s operate on the 12, as well as the 39 and 40.
27157/63 on 36/37/38 (27163 was on 36/38 on the earliest starting board - which additionally does the first 39 and first round trip on 37s).
27173 meanwhile was on 13.
