Until something parks there it's a piece of cake, once something parks there it's going to be difficult
2851 this morning has returned to Faverdale after being repainted at Thorntons.
Anyone heading to Teesside, the recently transferred Pulsars are allocated as followed:

1409 is on 29/29A and worked the 0935 29A to Stokesley (back at 1150)
1422 is likewise on 29/29A and is due out on the 0955 29 to Cypress Road (next trip 1115 29, 1235 29A)

Just out of curiosity what colour is 1422 old or new?

Old, but with a new style rear bumper in the newer livery.
2830 has been taken off 9/10's this morning to be sent up to thorntons to get it repainted, ready for its route branding that it's going to receive

1414 transferred to Darlington in the last few days.

Not including the Sapphire examples Darlington now have 17 Pulsar's I believe (21 if you count the 4 Sapphire examples) although we are due 1461 & 1462 from Belmont in the next few days so that takes it up to 19 (23 Inc. Sapphire).

Any ideas what it will be route branded for?

And 2851 for that matter... Looks awful without the black and the optare logo at the front...

2851 is awful in general!

Had the misfortune of it on the 5 a few months back and often used to pop up on the 21 before the EcoCitys took over.
Two branding changes noted are 7514 now X15 (previously X14) and 4659 now X14 (Thropton - Morpeth - Newcastle) (previously X15)

To combat full loadings on X15, however I'm against using the Omni's on any X14/15/18 service, due to the loadings on the Morpeth - Newcastle stretch. All X14 branded vehicles now carry "Thropton - Morpeth - Newcastle" since the changes. The destinations were updated in October 2014 to include "X14 Thropton" and "X14 Morpeth for Newcastle", to save time having to update them again this year.

Except they are getting updated - after all, the revamped X15/X18 needs to be put in (and the standardisation of the destinations across the division will also be completed then as well).
The revised service 1 on Sundays looks promising, the first #1 from Cresswell carried five people from Ellington to Ashington, although only 2 passengers used the service to Cresswell, with one departing before Wansbeck Hospital.

Destinations on some buses haven't been updated - so we headed to Cresswell while having 'Ashington' set on the boards.

My bus, 1791, along with a friendly and helpful driver managed to get to Cresswell 3 minutes early, meaning just over 10 minutes in Cresswell, which I took advantage by taking various photos of the bus, which will be on Flickr later.

No bus stops have been updated and still show either 'No service' or '1 Ashington', I hope that this service will be successful as there was already a decent loading, and that's from little information that the bus existed.
The X75/6 will now launch on Tuesday, despite being told by DBC the A67 would be opened today.
I think I've just passed 7527 with a full rear destination, suggesting that Ashington have got round to reprogramming the rear destinations on the 14 plates, if I passed 7524 (sure I saw a 7 at the end), ignore this comment.

Edit Big Grinefinitely 7527

I know they were sent a new file to update them, as were Darlington for their E400s, so its good to see it has/is being applied.

I noticed Darlington's E400's showing only the number 7 on the rear on Monday but were back to normal by Friday.

Just realised that I'd forgot to space the colon and the D Wink

Aye, the rear display on 7524 looked far smarter than the displays on the 57 reg ones with the number on the right (left on 7524) , so is nice to see the other 14's at least with that format

They don't look finished, where are the cream swoops?

Seems to be one problem after the next with Arriva's repaints at Thorntons...

Unless Arriva are putting them on themselves, as vinyls, like they do with Sapphire and MAX swoops if I remember correctly?

Unless they aren't going to have swoops for the service they are branded for.

Probably be a another screw up though.

Thorntons do seem to have a habit of forgetting to paint the bit under the windscreen black (again) on Optare products, too.

Go North East's paintjobs weren't the best on the South Tyne Versas, because Thorntons painted the black bit lilac instead.

Seems to have happened here too (compare it to the Solo parked behind).
Just saw a picture of this again, don't ever think it's been discussed on here,  what on earth was the thinking behind this:

Just spotted this advert for the Sapphire 22 in Sunderland.

Sorry for the slightly poor quality.
I've just seen 7534 operating a 19 which put a smile on my face, plus 2851 entered service this morning

Talk about overkill on the 19 [emoji1]

Good, allocating Pulsars to the 7 last bank holiday Monday was a stupid decision did not enjoy standing all the way to Ferryhill.
