It was after 1400 (1415ish when I hit Low Fell) when I drove back south, through Gateshead. Does that tally with 6062 arriving into Gateshead or were there others?
Didn't get to Howlands, due to being waylaid in the town unfortunately.

Well, you get no sympathy from me. If you had of taken Bazza up on his kind offer of being your journalistic muse then it might have been completed by now

Earlier this morning, but not in the direction of Durham unfortunately
On the app, when you seach 'tyne tees xpress', the only results shown are for Wear tess xpress service X7. I appreciate that this will probably get corrected at a later date.

Derwentside College is situated in Consett with the term Derwentside being used to describe the whole area so can't quite come to the conclusion as to whether 'Derwentside' is appropriate.
Apologies. Just realised that was a bit of a Bazza sentence and i will take full responsibility if somebody almost dies because they havent paused to gasp any air

Sadly there's only so much room on the destination display, and you're left with little scope to fit something in which has a large number of characters. "Derwentside College" doesn't fit on the top line, so the "College" is placed on the second line and is followed by the via points - just like "Newcastle / Eldon Square via", "Newcastle / Business Park via" etc.
Arriva have their via points on different 'pages', so there's probably a longer period in which the 'extended terminal point' is not visible, than with "College express via Consett".
I insist that display is better than "CONSETT" in huge letters (as previous); whilst the college is situated within Consett, most would associate the bus station to be the terminus of most services within Consett.
Of course, you may disagree, and everyone is entitled to an opinion. Others on the forum were using their extensive marketing experience last night to dictate on what makes a good brand name and what doesn't. To suggest sarcastically that whoever was behind a brand name they don't like is a "bright spark" is incredibly rude, especially when those persons may view the forum. Can't believe some of you say you want 'insiders' on this forum to give you feedback, when they'd come on here to get slated most of the time.
On another note - coming soon to a Tyne Tees Xpress near you...

With Omnidekka 6133getting rebranded into the Metro Radio livery, does that mean 3942 will also receive that livery or will it get repainted into a different (Probably the Corporate) livery?
Temporary traffic lights stuck on red near MetroCentre are causing severe delays for Go North East services both to and from MetroCentre.

Your not having much look with temporary lights are you.

I imagine it would be repainted into the corporate livery given that the logo is now out of date. Dont think a gemini would look to good in orange and pink!
I've just noticed 5331 displaying 'Driver Under Instruction', accompanied by a nice LED L Plate, around Blaydon Bus Station, it was being driven by an engineer. I presume it has something to do with the training coach movements.

I agree, it wouldn't look the best!

There was a time when operators displayed oversize L plates, but they were (also) not legal.
It has to conform to the following:-

When I say L Plate I do not mean a legal symbol to indicate the drivers status but rather a LED L Plate on the destination display for aesthetics. I should have made that clearer. Anyway I think the display was either unintentional or for a test because and engineer was at the wheel.
On another note that document doesn't specify the material that must be used to display the symbol, nothing to say a LED L Plate is illegal.
3888 broke down at the top of South Moor on scholars service 825 this morning although it was fixed and allocated to scholars service 824 tonight.
I was on 4910 earlier and it sounded brilliant! Therefore, I decided to record it for about 2mins 30seconds....

Subtle...
I only get recordings of Wright Renowns and Volvo Olympians, whenever I make a journey. Other than that, no point. Although, having said that, 4710's recording came out great yesterday.
It was only a one off. It's the first and only time I have done it. Purely because the engine sounded great.
I won't be doing it again. I thought you's would appreciate the sound of the engine

But you always tend to make journeys on Volvo Olympians and Wright Renowns when you're out and about. So, yeah, all the time really
I wonder if they'll ever appear on normal services?
