more than likely that bus was a typo error i can confirm it is a 15 reg plate bus if it was a 16 reg plate one it won't be off the production line yet until next year

Did it really need confirming? It was quite obvious that it was supposed to read NK15.
Not relevant to above post but relevant to post above is responding to: People seem to get so hyped up over a typo. Second day in a row a typo has caused some sort 'outrage' if you would call it that.

I agree everyone knew it was meant to be NK15 but he had to make it obvious.
The two final Optare Solos for Peterlee - 661 (NK15 GFJ) and 666 (NK15 EMJ) - were delivered to Go North East yesterday. As such; vinyl fitting has now commenced, with 653 (NK15 GDE) being the first to receive "indiGo" branding.
Heaven forbid if I've typed those letters in the registration in the wrong order... Cannot believe all the fuss over these simple typos recently - everyone makes them! :s

£2.80 is expensive? It's not as if the fare is £28.

The last time I bought a single from Chester-le-Street to Pelton (a 7/8 minute journey at the most), I paid £2.00. When I first started going out on buses by myself, I would pay £1.90 (iirc). So if it's £2.00 for such a short journey, you can understand why I don't find £2.80 for a journey from Birtley to Gateshead to be expensive.

Quite funny you mention Quality Contacts, actually, citaro5284... Looking at the facts and figures; if it's deemed expensive now, it's going to remain expensive under a Quality Contracts Scheme...
I believe a number of those in support of Quality Contracts have suggested one of the reasons behind this is related to pricing strategies.
Under a Quality Contracts Scheme, Nexus proposes that a journey between Birtley and Gateshead would cover three zones (A, B and C). In 2012, Nexus proposed that a single fare on one mode of transport would cost £2.50. An inflation calculator would suggest that £2.50 in 2012 is now worth £2.72. One would therefore suggest that the fare, under Quality Contracts, would either be £2.70, £2.75 or £2.80 (pretty damn close to the present fare of £2.80!)

8264 has just went up my street, doing about 15mph and it sounds horrendous.

Still think expanding the South Tyneside SmartZone across the North East Region would be a better idea than what has been proposed under QCS, obviously Single Fares/Day Tickets would have to be looked at as the (STSZ) currently only offers Weekly Pass (£13) and Monthly Pass (£50), those in South Tyneside otherwise have to pay the Standard Single/Day Ticket Fare on offer from GNE/SNE.
So if I was to purchase a (STSZ) Week Pass, I would be able to travel anywhere in South Tyneside for £1.85 per day, if I was to purchase a Monthly Pass I would only make a saving of £2 a Month, basically you might as well say you get 1 Days Free Travel which is nothing to be honest, but it is still a money saver compared that to the present Network One System, a One Zone Week Pass is (£19.30) and Monthly is (£67.10), and we all know that only way this System in a way saves Money for the average Passenger is by purchasing an All Zones Weekly Pass at (£26.40) or a Monthly Pass at (£92.90) as otherwise you cant go very far and you get mugged in the process.
Might as well go ahead compare the average One Zone Week Pass holder to an Illegal Immigrant trying to cross the Border into another Country, thats how badly flawed the Network One System is in my Opinion.

Oh dear...
The "ne" does not stand for "North East" - it represents the tense of the verb "to go" (Go'd is not a word)...

Well why didnt you just say that in the first place.
Who in the god right mind picks the base colour violet on the solo with it being branded as "IndiGo" while Trent Barton has the brand "Indigo" on the base colour of Indigo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
, This is one of the worse and pointless brands that GNE have come up with yet!

So the Angel is a pointless brand because the buses aren't brown like the attraction?
