Anybody watching it, kicking off with England v Fiji.
I am a New Zealand fan myself, after I saw a Maori team play at Gateshead Stadium in the early 1990's and was mesemerised by the Haka...
When I did Performing Arts at New College in 1999, the World Cup was on, as part of the course, I had to do a bit dance, so I did the minimum that was required of me, I cant dance to save my life...I took a paper into College and my dance/movement teacher saw a guide to the Haka, when I was done reading, he took and a couple of weeks later, he put together a modified and simple version of the Haka for me to meet the minimum requirement for a pass in Movement and Dance...
Back on topic, is there many Rugby fans among us???
I watch it now and again, the thing i love about it, is the tackles etc, the blood, proper injuries.
One thing I like about Rugby as well is Referees are respected, no intimidation tactics like in Football and only The Captains can approach the ref...
I used to play a bit, at school and a couple of games for Durham U15s
So whose watching then???
Good win for England last night and a good, rare win for Georgia over the Tongans this morning...
Cant see past New Zealand and Australia, with England and Ireland as outsiders

Quite possibly the biggest upset in the History of the RWC...
It is up there among the biggest upsets in sports history
It is up there with
Yeovil 1949
Hereford 1972
Sunderland 1973
Wimbledon 1988
Sutton Utd 1989
Georgia beating Tonga this morning was also a good result...
You would think Japan had won the whole thing looking at the Fans, most of them were crying, saying that I would cry if my team pulled off a massive upset(as I did when Darlo won the Northern League [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY])
England have just made history - first host nation NOT to make it out of the group stage!

It had to happen to somebody...Shame it has to be England

It wouldnt have mattered much if we werent hosting it. Quite embarrassing imo.

embarrassing as it may be, nobody would have batted an eyelid if it happened in, say, Johannesburg, Melbourne or Auckland.
What would have been more embarrassing would have been if we finished 4th in the Group, meaning we would have had to go through Qualification for the 2019 tournament, because of the way the RWC is, the top 3 in every group qualifies automatically for the next world cup
I think also what people need to remember is the RWC has never been played outside of traditional Rugby Playing Countries, so it has always been expected the host country will make it through
It is no excuse, we are supposed to be one of the top 5 in the World and should always be there or thereabouts.
End of the day, it has happened, if only I had a Flux Capacitor, I could go back and warn Stuart Lancaster not to drop George Ford against Wales.
Come on New Zealand, I hope they can make history themselves and become the first team to retain the trophy
Who wants a bet that England will win tonight when it doesn't matter if they do?

They will win...
Don't want to go try and predict a score like [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND TIGHTLY-CLOSED EYES]
Well done to Scotland. Brilliant game though and well played to both sides.

And they are...typical.
53-3 if anybody isn't watching it.
Final score:
England 60 - 3 Uruguay
All Northern Hemisphere teams have been knocked out of the World Cup with Scotland being the last to go.

As long as the All Blacks win, I will be happy

What actually happened in the Scotland game with that penalty for Oz...Could the ref have not referred it to the TMO, I didnt watch it so dont know what happened

The ref should have awarded a scrum to Australia for the original knock on rather than a penalty. If that error hadn't have been made, Scotland would have won. Apparently he couldn't have went to the TMO.

I thought that was what the TMO was for...contentious decisions and all that...
I guess the TMO can only be called upon for disputed tries
