So the Solos and E200s are out for Lumiere tonight, and on their normal evening frequencies. I really wonder sometimes!
1509 also X9 branded, seen at Haymarket Bus Station this lunchtime.

A lot of the bigger buses and deckers went out on the P&R. I didn't see any evidence of the bigger buses that were mentioned on the website.

They did have plenty of double decks out around 8pm I am told. Maybe getting them out quicker after run in would have been better. I think major delays on the X12 route didn't help though.

Possibly could have done to be sooner, tonight, but the weather wasn't their fault!
Eh? How did I post at 2am?

Anyhow, the Merryoaks P&R has had to shut because it's too muddy

Not surprising considering it's essentially a farmers field!

Hopefully, Arriva will re-deploy the buses sensibly!

And I've realised that the post times are all 2 hours ahead of what they should be for me. Need to go twiddle with something, I think.
NK59 DME is now branded MAX- same brand as 7515
Saw it at Quorum at 16:55

So do I but we won't talk about it on here.
4643 has now had its interior MAX posts changed to show the X67 on the interior map
1415 now has the large 'MAX' logos on both sides as per 1416. However, it retains the smaller ones above the doors and cab from its days branded for the X12 (the X12 internal maps have also been removed)

Having just seen one pass....
The X66/X67 NSAs have not yet been updated for the changes. Presumably the Commerical team have had other things to do recently

Of course, might be nothing to do with Commerical not having time.  Sometimes it is not as easy as people think, software and systems can be funny things!
i thought i would let you know but i don't know where to post this info. x15 and x18 may be subjected to be delayed as there are road resurfacing works in progress on a1 in between belford and berwick

To be honest, the X15/X18 is always subject to delays due to just the A1 in general Big Grin

true just one of the drivers where saying that it is due to get worse and both buses may have to miss out scrammerstone if it gets too bad

 I presume you mean Scremerston?

There have been delays for most of last week, though its only been 5 or 10 minutes stuck in a queue at the traffic lights south of Beal. It's not been helping that the traffic lights have failed at least twice resulting in a police officer having to stand at each end and direct traffic...

The bit of the A1 around Scremerston has only just be resurfaced in the last few weeks, the current work appears to be between Beal and Belford, and there isn't really an alternative route.

Hmm, I use those two routes frequently, and any delays I've experienced have never been to do with the A1. In reality the A1 stretches are where time can be made up.

Especially on the X18, you'll find that busy junctions, tight corners, and uncontrollable circumstances (horse riders on twisting roads etc) are usually the factors behind late running.

i am regular on the x15 and the traffic is now at the big petrol station where a lot of lorries are parked at and they are retarmacing the road so they will eventually be near the turn off for scremerston and the driver said if a bus cannot turn in to scremerston then the alternative will result will be to go up to the round about.

The A1 at Scremerston has been resurfaced in the last couple of months so I can't imagine any more work on that bit in the near future, but there always seems to be roadworks somewhere between Berwick and Newcastle these days.

I use the X15 / X18 rather a lot and actually they're both pretty reliable, certainly around the Berwick end of the route. The problem the X18 has is that it uses big lumbering E400 buses on twisty, narrow roads for the long coastal section north of Alnwick and they can easily get held up behind tractors, cyclists, Sunday drivers etc...

Noticed an X18 laying over/waiting time in Alnmouth yesterday afternoon. Didn't notice the ultimate destination, but obviously hadn't been pushed too hard on that run.
