39708 is making a random popping sound.
Something that's really been annoying me when I've been in Sunderland recently is drivers on the Stagecoach E's dumping the buses in the road in Park Lane Interchange. This is where the buses are being dumped with me seeing at least three sightings within the last few weeks, this even seems to be happening even when there is space in the layover areas.

From the 1st Feb all megariders will be done on a smart card, they wont be accepting paper megariders anymore.

Im sure they'll be accepting them after the 1st Feb if they run out after.

Edit: Notice on the 23 (Sunderland)
The latest repaint at Stockton depot is MAN Enviro 300 24106. Didn't even click that it had been away, but it appeared today on service 13 - seen here crossing the cycle path in Fairfield, Stockton

Could this be the sign of a new strategy for SNE? It's fair to surmise SNE plays a fairly safe game, staying close to their PTE routes with little in way of real innovation.

It's certainly possible, it's not as if Stagecoach applies the same policy nationwide. I lived in Manchester up until recently and they are very innovative with route branding, establishing new depots in the heart of enemy (First) territory and even opening their own, privately operated, Park and Ride site.

Given Mr Newbury's involvement in developing Arriva's MAX brand, he certainly has shown a talent for actioning new ideas
