Nothing strange in that - the 0900 arrival from Hemlington on weekdays terminates with a fresh bus taking over, happens all the time. The regular Driver usually takes the decker round to check the replacement bus is on stand.

So if it came off at 0855 how come it was on the 0901 from Hemlington to Middlesbrough.

I guess it's possible that one broke down and the school driver covered it as far as the depot where he'll have been taken off by a spare driver.
