There have been one or two of the green hybrids around on this service for a while, but none at all today.
StevenKnightMedia reports that 10582 is now working from Ashton, and I understand further examples have been seen on the 330 route today.
Would it be possible to convert some of the Enviro 400s that will be replaced at Newcastle to Open Top to replace the Olympians on City Sightseeing duties? Seems like a good opportunity to do so eventhough it looks like where they are being displaced to seems to have been taken care of already.

I agree, I would rather see E400s converted than having Ex London Stock etc running around on the City Sight Seeing Service.

But certainly they could be put to much better use upgrading capacity on single decker routes in Newcastle?, Routes 10,11,30 and 31 come to mind.
And isn't the City Sightseeing a contract? if it is then Stagecoach arnt going to use middle aged E400s when they can make more money from them on Commercial Work.

I think City Sightseeing is a franchise (same model as McDonalds etc if I have got the name wrong) as opposed to a contract.
I'm sure that replacing non-DDA vehicles is high up the list too which is why I suggested it.

Aye I think you could be right, Though I still doubt E400s will be in favour over Tridents.

Accumulating various sources; 10578-82/4/5 had all been seen on the 330 by yesterday, and 10583 has almost certainly arrived at Ashton depot after prep work at HE. From photos of 10579/85 it looks like the seating is identical to 10534-51. I understand further examples have been delivered to Hyde Road for prep work, whilst their entry in to service at Ashton has allowed at least two Euro4s to leave for repainting into MagicBus colours.

I have been away all weekend so I'll take your word for it. 10579 was on the 330 route Friday. I'll see what tomorrow brings.
I was lucky enough to take a trip on 10579 today. Massive upgrade to the previous Enviros on this 330 route. Not sure if this is the place for observations about passenger experience so I'll leave that for now.
Also seen 15082-15084 on 330 today.

Coincidentally, I made a rare trip into Ashton today, and sampled 10584. They are marginally more comfortable than a standard E400/MMC, but being tallish I found the concave shape of the seat back a bit uncomfortable. I also wonder if they will deteriorate badly like First's e-plastic examples of 2012 vintage. 10579/82 were indeed also on the 330, but 10583 (first report of being in service) was on a Manchester route - with 10585 on the other, and 10580 on the 347. If the concensus that AZ will eventually receive 31 of the type proves correct, then surely it will be the 347 that joins 216 & 330 in having the type allocated as the norm, with the 219 finally reverting to a proper Hybrid route.
Another of the Chester Park & Ride buses, SN16OPK, was outside AD Falkirk this evening.
Has anything been mentioned about the 2016 order of E200/400MMC's due for Slatyford and Walkergate (respectively)? What are they going to be used on and withdrawing?

The E400MMC's are being split between Slatyford and Walkergate, Which heavily hints that they be used on Services 62/63, As the PVR is split between the two.
The E200MMC's are all for Slatyford, And nothings been said about which route there on, Though id hint at either Services 10/11 or 30/31.
They should be withdrawing MAN 18.220 / ALX300s I believe.

Not yet, but one of Walkergate's E400s was seen at the Wheatsheaf yesterday undergoing repaint... Presumably ahead of their impending cascade to another route - tarting them up a little.

I like to think the E200MMCs will be on the 6/7/8/32/32A/30/31
And the E400MMCs will go on the 1 and X63, however this isn't true
Cheers guys, I can understand the 62/63 although I would think some of the E200MMC's will go onto the 100, it's in desperate need of some decent vehicles; those E300's are wrecked!

There's a reason 27506-10 are still (and will likely remain on) the 100 - there's nothing on the market long enough or with similar capacity to replace them.

The E200MMCs are the 11.8m version - so you can discount the 32/32A or the 35 as allocation.

As for them all replacing Slatyford's MANs, given the amount of current rumors about destinations, it looks like a large number of E400s are leaving Newcastle - Stockton is currently rumored to get 8, 15 are apparently destined for Cumbria and East Midlands are also a rumored destination.

Any known depots, just I may want to catch them as I like the 53 Reg MANs at Slatyford

I think you have crossed wires - the Enviro400s the new MMCs are displacing are expected to be cascaded not the MANs.

Lincoln have quite a few older deckers and I assume will be receiving some new/newer vehicles to replace these.

Supposed to be - for that rumored list, remove Stockton and add Yorkshire. I understand 24 Enviro400s will be leaving Newcastle once the 24 E400MMCs have entered service, and a three way split between Cumbria, Yorkshire and the East Midlands fleet will take place.

As for that then, It will be a mix of non wifi'ed 07 and 57 reg batchs that's more likely to leave, As 19141-19156 have had Wifi and minor refurbs ( seat retrims etc ) So could indicate there here for the long term.
Slatyford will probably loose 19157-19162 ( 6 ) as theve had nothing done on them, And correct me if I'm wrong, But Slatyford have less boards on the 62/63.
Walkergate will loose any of 19193-19219, Though 19194,96 and 97 will probably stay to cover unavailable Club 22 E400s. 19163 will more or less head out of the door.
Yorkshire will more likely be Barnsley? Then they could replace the former Yorkshire Traction Omnidekkas.
Cumbria could be Carlisle to replace the 555 Tridents, Which updates the brand along with the E400MMCs replacing the Scania E400s, The rest will replace other Tridents ( which I believe Carlisle have a few more too )
East Midlands could be Lincoln, As they indeed have a few aging deckers, Though 1 or 2 could end up at the likes of Skegness, Grimbsy etc.
All rumors at the minute but now that I think about it, Its more likely to happen with all these Olympians and Tridents that need replacing elsewhere.

19141-63/93 are the one I understand down to be leaving the region, as they are are the oldest examples. 19141-8 are the only one that have a known destination - they are the ones off to the North West. East Midlands is almost certainly Lincolnshire area to replace Tridents.
As for Yorkshire, I wouldn't be too surprised if they don't end up at one of the Sheffield depots to increase capacity there.

Which is why I think Lincoln and some of the other depots down there will get something (whether from this cascade or elsewhere). They have plenty of Olympians and Tridents, although I have no idea if the Tridents on IC work are DDA compliant.

BIB: They are Volvo B7TLs not Tridents. The older ones (the Y-reg ones) are the only one that will be a query - the rest of the Vykings should be DDA compliant as they are all post-2001 builds.
