North East Buses

Around 2002 there used to be 10 buses available for DFDS work. This has reduced over the years as the sailings have reduced to once a day.

But the minimum requirement is 2, but more often or not can involve many buses on busy weekends especially those leading to Xmas.

If they do go on 17, i hope they bring back the Centurion brand...

Looks like all Fast Cats solars are being debranded - that's 5206 and 5209 done.

Talking of 5206, I saw it leading a convoy with 5333 last Friday evening too, they were both crossing the flyover on the A19 NIS heading north.

I believe all have had the route details removed... A large number had missing branding anyway (5206 has had very little branding for months as the bodywork was given a tidy up).

Looks like 8295 is going to be a VOR for another few days, Withdrawn from the 88A this morning due to a broken emission cap, Which has been broken for a few weeks but has only seemed to have been noticed now.

Another one to look at is 8298, More of a Euro 1 B10M than a Euro 4 Cummins, And has the same smell as when my cars DPF was defective, Which when sat the back makes me queasy.

If they are for the 17 that will be good as most of the Scanias are in a decent condition. Wonder if they will bring back the North Tyne Links brand (revised obviously)

I actually liked it on the Cadets, but the branding on the yellow B10s was terrible

4968 isn't, One of the worst in the fleet In my opinion! The rest I agree with you though.

Yes it was nice on the cadets. I think the silver/gold helm against the blue will look nice

Never been on that one - it seems it depends what batch they are as to how good they are, Tynedale Express and Loop are best by far though.

5424/25 arrived today, 5432 was yesterday's arrival if I recall correctly.

Wrights do not know what fleet numbers we are going to use.  They use build numbers!

Probably early next week for them entering service now.

A Streetlite has gone to Deptford for familiarisation but I doubt they will manage to get through all of Deptford's drivers within two days.

Just a heads up, 8305's front blind is knackered, it is constantly flickering on and off when the bus is moving

Will the long 9 be decker allocated on Saturday, due to Sunderland being at home?

I'd like to see the Cross Tyne livery back, I really liked that livery.

Here's 5206 fully unbranded today, well almost fully unbranded!
