Stagecoach North East…
Regular correspondent Richard Smiles reports that former Stagecoach Manchester Trident 17643 has been sent to Gardiners of Spennymoor for part open top conversion. Stagecoach East Scotland Optare Solo 47053 from the Reserve Fleet there was noticed parked up at Stockton depot suggesting it is being transferred elsewhere within Stagecoach UK Bus or has been sold.
HI I liked it when stagecoach transit had mini buses it would be nice see some Optare solo like 47053 to be in service at Stockton I wish that they would get some at stagecoach on Teesside depot.

Not many routes need solos in teesside it be the likes of hartlepool.
Solos would be good on the 32 in Newcastle
Two E1s on their way to Sunderland together. 27725 and 27733 on ocean road now.
Also 36479s rear destination screen is not working.
Has any one seen 34611 out on service today or is it still in the depot. Regards Robin

None of the routes in Teesside/Hartlepool need solos, the current buses are fine, no need to decrease. I can't imagine an 04 solo having much life in it either, not compared to ALX300/Darts in service.
According to the latest fleet lists, 22341,42,43,44,45 are now Walkergate based Tongue

There is no sign of 34611 out on the road yet is it still getting Worked on at the depot. I see the tape has been removed from the number plate of 34401 has it passed it's mot or not.

34611 needs quite a bit of work done to it from what happened to it.
Though I don't know if it's finished or not as I'm on holiday atm.

What happened to it?

Failed on Green Lane with Liquid trailing for a good length up the road about two weeks ago

I'd take a hint that it was a coolant leak.
34611 has made a dramatic recovery then. It's out today on 17/18 circuit

If 34401 has passed it must've just passed as it always seems to sound awful

I know. I like those models especially 34605. Wouldn't be surprised if GCT or Jim Hughes purchased one.
Let's hope they use 34401 if it has passed its mot or not.

34605 is a beauty a personal favourite and it has 30+ videos on YouTube one of which shows a fitter starting 34605s engine and looking in the engine I do hope that one is preserved
Tell some one to get 34401 back out on the road as soon as possible.

There's a reason why they take MOT tests you know.

I do think you need to stop going on about 34401 - frequent and regular posting on here is not going to see it resurrected - if Stagecoach need it for a logical reason then it will be used, if they have no reason to use it they won't...Stagecoach are not going to use a bus just because you want them to...they are a business looking to make money, not to make one enthusiast happy!
I wish Stagecoach would hurry up and decide whether to scrap or sell on 34401 (and the other darts that were withdrawn from Hartlepool for that matter) so we don't have a weekly question about it whereabouts and when its going to enter service!
Noticed something odd on Sunderland service12 tonight. The gas bus advertising it's a gas was removed from the back so you could actually see out the rear window. Looked strange, wonder if the advertising is being phased out or maybe the window had been damaged.
Anyone else spotted this. Looks better without advertising.
28027 was the bus

Correct same to 28003 before but that got new branding.

It has probably just been damaged and has had to replaced- 28003 was like that awhile ago but has since had the branding re-applied

Do u think it looks better with the open window? The new ride needs to go like
Some buses are 3 year old
Been like that for at least a week now - I didn't note it as I didn't catch the fleet number. Looks odd - I prefer it with the advertising covering window.

No I think it looks better with the branding, cant see many people being bothered about being able to look out the back window of a bus. I agree the buses are no longer new but if they just removed the "new" I think it would look abit odd and I cant see them rebranding 40 buses just because of that, other than enthusiasts I don't think many people will notice/be too bothered about that aslong as the bus has turned up
