Mind I am surprised at that....him getting a pic of a bus passing the Haymarket.   Hope he nodded to the driver  Tongue

7489 has been towed into Faverdale this afternoon.

Any reason why it's there?

Who knows? Possibly to be used on 1/5 given there seems to still be a need on a morning for a decker.

Ah yeah forgot about that
7489 has engine failure. Likely moved for work at Faverdale?

If it was there for any other purpose, it would have been under its own power.

Would it even fit under Priestgate in Darlington? Anyone know the height of 7489?

I'd have a guess at 4.4m - the same height as GNEs Gemini 1s

7489's stay at Faverdale has been brief and it has now headed back out towards the A1M, still on tow by Ian Bradley.
Wonder if it's been dropped off by Bradley's while he goes and recovers something else

The Geminis are 14ft 5ins tall - so they should fit under Priestgate. The B9TLs have of course been under the Bridge on Ladgate Lane (63 route) when the X93 had to divert when Ormesby Bank was closed back in the winter storms.

Some news posted to the Travel West Yorkshire forum:

You're slow off the mark with that one!

1790 was due to be collected earlier this week.

This however hasn't been mentioned....4702 is now in Frequenta Base Livery. This now makes 11 Pulsars and 2 Temsas - which covers the PVR of the 63 which suggests that 4702 will be the last one repainted.

4700 has also been fitted with an NSA screen which suggests this will also be involved in the 63 brand.
1761 has moved to Jesmond and is in great shape

What, no spare?

Shame about 1775.... removed from service as deemed not fit for use. Bus kept veering to the right.... Durham's magical engineering there  Huh
Stockton pulsar 1457 is now repainted in frequenta based livery for service 15

I'd hope the same shape it's always been? Big Grin

It made a high pitch squeel when it was at Jesmond

Tongue  Tried to catch it for ages at Blyth and it turned up on the Town Moor with the 55!

I believe its going to be a Frequenta spare for 7/15s as there won't be a spare Solo when 2826 transfers to Redcar. 1487 now getting done.

And? Veering to one side is a hell of a lot worse than it making a noise.
Officially giving up on Arriva's X7. At least the ex7.42 from Haymarket.

It's never a max vehicle. Usually 7466 or worse. It's never on time. It's the first run of the day AFAIK.

When I ring arriva they send me GPS showing its on time. Yesterday I was sitting on the bus at 7.53 when it finally left and arriva showed GPS tracking at 7.53 at Balliol.

They either dropped it in later en route  or the GPS is knackered

It's better than no bus!
Darlington Pulsar 1465 now has next stop announcement equipment, presumably the 8/8A will gain announcements? Or possibly to give more Pulsars announcements for the 1/5/5A since they were first introduced some time ago with the PVR having increased on these services following service changes.

There's a few more with them as well, I'm guessing it will be for the 1/5/5A as more and more of the 14** seem to appear on there now, all darlingtons fleet will probably end up getting next stop announcements sooner rather than later
