All that has been stated is 4664 is being refurbished to MAX standard rather than pigeon-holing it into Cross Pennie Livery when it is to be the spare! By having it MAX means if not needed on the 685, it can be used elsewhere without people complaining that it is off-route. And if needed, it can cover on the X16 yes but it won't be branded for the X16.
By MAX standard do you mean the standard Arriva spec of wifi, USB and dark blue pleather seats?
RBZ 5459 - yeah, I had 4661 on Saturday and it had the harrier on the headrests and USB power sockets in the seat backs.
(22 Nov 2016, 11:25 am)Cobalt271 wrote [ -> ]It isn't just Morpeth affected of course. Severe delays for MAX services X15,18 & 20 as they try to negotiate the roads between Ashington, Alnwick and Berwick which have also been badly affected. A1 is also closed near Felton which is delaying the X15 even more.
thanks as I only know the 35/35z and x18 is delayed because they pass my house.

Must have been a quick headrest change during the week because it certainly didn't when it entered service! Cheers.

Saying that 4653 and 4659 could do with USB charging ports
1765 is currently working for Ashington. It's on the 35 today.
I'm unsure if this is a loan or a transfer, Blyth hasn't lent a midi to Ashington since one of 1795/6 back in 2014!

it may be a loan as I think there are a couple of buses being VOR

Been like that for the best part of 2016! Turbo still seemed to have done its job a few weeks ago when I last used it?
Heard second-hand that 27141 sounds a fair bit knackered as of late too with the cooling fans as you said earlier.

Wasn't that bad tbh, Turbo was screeching a few times but that's it, Sounded a lot healthier than 41 though, Though I wouldn't be surprised as 42 was the one that spent a lot of time off the road?
27141 was crawling up the slight bank out of Corbridge with its Fan's on full pelt, I'm surprised it lasted the day.
someone on facebook said that one of the scania omnicities that is based at ashington is going away soon for extensive repair to get back to reasonable condition. if its not true sorry

I don't think that's true, both seem to be in a reasonable condition as is. Bodywork and paint looks ok and I believe both were re-engined earlier this year too.

ok, isn't one of them not aloud to be allocated to the x14

I don't know anything about that, but both are allocated to the X20 now so shouldn't be on the X14.

ok thanks for informing me

X14 should be fully double deck, I don't know if the Council has specified this or if it was an Arriva decision.
Both should be used on the X20, and this has been the case since September.
For some reason, no replacement branding has been applied to OmniCitys, 4653 carries QLIN (Morpeth) livery and 4659 carries X14, despite the graphics company, being at Blyth and Jesmond recently. Could be a hint that replacement vehicles are due soon.

Worth it for the free ticket and free lunch!
I wonder how many non-enthusiasts will go. If it ends up being a room full of the type of people who moan every time a Streetlite is introduced Arriva will end up having to order 100 Atlanteans.

Not too much of a bad thing that
.
Hopefully the application process enables the powers that be to whittle out certain recognisable names and enable a healthy balance of enthusiasts and everyday passengers.
does anyone know the whereabouts 4802 is (the one that crashed into a Halifax building)is it still impounded

According to a driver it is somewhere in Bishop Auckland in a impound yard
I believe there was some sort of event at the new Hexham bus station this morning. I passed LHN860 coming back as I was on the way!

Nope, still no Harriers...... :s

Definitely no Harriers yesterday.
I seemed to have got my fleet numbers mixed up, I was on 4662 (which I thought I had been told was VOR), whereas 4661 was VOR. My apologies.
