SN65OHD is the latest repaint from Travelsure.
Dennis Javelin / Plaxton 697 BYU is now dark blue and is usually found on the 813 school contract from Lesbury to Alnwick Duchess school.
Enviro 300 RX57 GOE has left the fleet and was heading for pastures new.
Setra SF05 HOF(TTC 86) has been sold on.
Is there any chance that someone could clear some queries on vehicles that I have
Are the following still in use or used as back up:
HX53 ODH
SF04LHR
YX11 CRZ
Not spotted these buses in a while so I have been thinking that with newer modern vehicles arriving at travelsure that ODH and LHR may have been withdrawn and CRZ Is VOR or sold

HX53ODH & SF04LHR are both out of use and have been for some time, eeen SF04LHR listed for sale but no-one has bought it.

ODH and LHR are both withdrawn and are due for disposal.
CRZ is still on fleet strength but has had a string of gearbox and electrical issues.
Are there any plans for any Travelsure services in Newcastle?

Kinda far away for them to operate unless they made a service that comes to Newcastle
They used to operate the Sunday service 525 from Berwick/Alnwick to Newcastle but guessing that was contracted at the time.

Yes, it was a contract.

As mentioned on the Arriva X18 thread, Travelsure have won the contract for extra X18 summer journeys between Alnwick and Berwick from Northumberland County Council.
Travelsure's T01 service has been withdrawn, it will be replaced by service 472 which Glen Valley Tours will operate with financial support from Northumberland County Council from Monday 25th July.

Meanwhile from Monday 25th July, Travelsure will operate the shuttle service on Holy Island with extensions to/from Beal at the start/end of the day (times for the service which is dependent by day based on tides for next week is on their Facebook). Think Woody's (or whatever they were called) previously ran this service.
Scottish Borders Council Facebook states:

Local bus operator Travelsure has announced that it is to cease operation of some bus services in the Berwickshire area due to a national shortage of drivers.

The services which are affected and will cease on 24 October 2023 are:

• Service 32 - Tweedmouth - Berwick - Paxton - Hutton - Swinton
• Service 34 - Tweedmouth - Berwick - Eyemouth - Duns
• Service 236 - Ayton - Eyemouth - Berwick
• Service 260 - Tweedmouth – Duns

SBC is working with alternative service providers to maintain connectivity across the Berwickshire area and is exploring all options available to it.

It then goes on to look to Borders Buses routes and the Pingo service which is also ran by Borders Buses.

EDIT: last date of operation for these services is October 21st (cancellation effective from the 23rd), Lord knows where SBC has gotten the 24th from?!
Travelsure are allegedly shutting down shortly before Christmas.

Its owners are retiring, from what I've heard.  All local service work will have ended by the end of October. Two school contracts in Berwickshire will continue to run until the end of the current school term on 21st December.

SBC has worked with Borders Buses to organise replacements and full details of these should be known soon.

Think the 418/X18 journeys they do, will continue to run for the moment at least.

That's finishing as well, last day of operation by Travelsure of the 418/X18 is October 28th.

The following statement has appeared on Travelsure's website.

Statement from Travelsure Coaches Limited. (9th October 2023)
We have made the decision as a family to close our business at the end of the year.
This decision has been made solely on the needs of our family as Barrie & Karen wish to retire.
We have operated our holiday and day trip program since 1987 and would like to thank the fantastic passengers, staff and suppliers we have met and worked with throughout the years. We hope you all have some happy memories of Travelsure.
We would also like to thank the residents of Northumberland and the Scottish Borders who have travelled on our services.
We will continue to operate local services, school contracts and private hire till the end of the year.
All the holidays and day trips within our 2023 brochure will go ahead as planned. If you haven’t already booked your winter break don’t delay and book today.

Travelsure's 2023 holiday brochure is advertising a new year break in the Scottish Highlands which returns to the north east on Tuesday 2nd January 2024. Presumably this will still go ahead.
