1459 is now Frequenta branded - interestingly it has the generic Stockton branding suggesting that only 1484-92/4 will be 15 branded with the 4 10 plates being generic.

I'm not against upgrades (they dont always excite me as they excite others), but if Max is going to essentially be a minimum spec - what other methods are there to excite and draw passengers in?
We already see the wifi, charging points, pleather seats and funky lighting, with tables and 2x 1 seating becoming a feature with some operators.

Conductors?!
Didn't get to id it unfortunately, but a Redcar Streetlite was steaming and/or smoking at Quarry Lane roundabout.

A van and two fitters in attendance.
I have just read on Facebook that Once 7416 has been refurbished it will move to redcar to replace LJ51 0SK (Sorry I cannot remember fleet number) to ashington. I will ask the person on facebook if I can copy his post as I don't like using peoples posts without their consent.

7489 is in Whitby Park and Ride livery, so it certainly won't happen before November.

Plus, I believe the Park and Ride is up for renewal in 2018, so if Arriva lost the contact, there would be no need to replace it with anything, it would presumably be repainted and transferred anyway.

Sounds like more uneducated rumour.

thank you I never knew the park and ride service would be up for renewal so early

I didn't even realise that it was a contracted service. The Scarborough Park & Ride is operated by EYMS on behalf of the Council with no contract in place. I thought Whitby would have been the same.

2017 is the fourth season of Whitby Park & Ride (and the third with 7489 and the two official routes).
does anyone know if 7472 is at blyth and 1581 is at jesmond yet?
7439 has apparently transferred to Blyth to help out with refurbishments

How does that work then? Surely they have to go out to tender??

I hope not, these were terrible on the 308 ten years ago!

this will probably stay on x10 and x11 to allow LJ51 DJD &LJ51 DHZ and 7466 to be put on the 308 also 7472 will probs go on the x10 +x11 when it arrives at ashington

Failing to see how 7466/85/87 all need to be put onto the 308, when only 7801/2 have gone for refurbishment. You seem to be forgetting that Blyth also have 7425 which is an intended replacement whilst the hybrids are away. 7439 will likely just be providing further back up, and as such won't 'stay' on any route, it will be used wherever it is needed.

if 7439 is going to blyth I think 7472 will stay at ashington

The Arriva allocation documents say differently. Furthermore, there is no actual need for 7472 to be at Ashington, since the PVR for the 35 has dropped by one.

if that is so I can see W401 VGJ going up to Yorkshire tiger along with Y481 UGC. saying that 7481 was meant to go before Christmas but got delayed

Blyth based commanders 1402 and 1403 have finally been repainted into standard livery only just losing the Quorum branding now even though it went from the Gemini's in October 2015.

Hopefully that finally means binning off their Wayfarer TGX150s for contactless ERGs....
Better than them contactless 'blobs' on the 5/5A that like to fall off....

I think that's the way they are going - the contactless pads connected to the Wayfarer. No sign yet of them falling off on the Streetlites (or 1512)......
Contactless would be a disaster using the current ticket machines, they are far too slow as it is.

Was a picture circulating of one hanging off after being hit with a kids buggy, they seem to be a bit in the way  Rolleyes
Possibly the wayfarer 6 looking at this image note the fare stages https://goo.gl/images/iH8xS4
The Optare Solos on service 2 between Morpeth and Blyth have been fitted with free customer WiFi for travelling convenience.
