Gas bus on the X24 again today. The usual one that's missing in action - 24002 - is actually out in service today.

I hope they get new buses for the route, having nothing but problems with the Omnilinks.

The service seems to of been a success (hence why they're probables changing the megarider so you need a Tyne and Wear PLUS, with an increase of £2.65!).

They won't be getting new buses in a hurry, all three are down for getting new gearboxes and air-conditioning sorted.

Got to wonder if the price hike will kill off the X24

The X34 has the same price increase don't forget so it's not a case of being a success or possibly killing off. It's a case of the new MS realising the tyne and wear megarider was priced too cheap too start with.

Still a bargain compared to GNE on both services

(Wrong thread I know. Feel free to relocate admin)

The pricing was very attractive and may have contributed to the success of the X34.

Whilst I am not sure it will kill off either the X24 or X34, I am curious about any potential impact.

Mind, if a number of conc pass holders are using the service, I wonder if the increase affects the revenue forgone method?
27507 on 39s last night, part of a group of 3 I passed in North Ormesby. Punctuality still not a strong point, then

PVR of 5 during the day - then the fifth bus drops out at 5 when it drops to every 12 minutes leaving the others without necessary recovery time.........
And given the traffic yesterday, I'm amazed it wasn't all five together.........
