I wonder if the 2 Merc fires in the last few months could be related to the engine modifications they have recently had?

Does anyone know if the Yutong shows up on the tracker?

Why do the metro replacements not show on app. Would be good to track buses

I think it could be electrically related as a result of overheating of numerous systems fitted to these vehicles, think about it the last 4 vehicles which have caught fire all recently had wifi or other electrical systems fitted or modifications done to them.

Managed completely by the council. There are no references to such services on the app or website. The 86 to toft hill is another example.

Interestingly the bus fire at Stanstead Airport was a Citaro. As for GNE the only thing the 4 vehicles have in common is the extra additions placed in by the company. I.e next stop and the wiring for that, plugs maybe? Not entirely sure what had what but 4 is a lot in a short space of time.

Versa and Solar didn't have either.

The council?
It's Nexus who manage it and source replacements. The several councils within T&W have nowt to do with that.
However, from a passenger perspective, it would be good to know when the 900 was coming

What about engine mods?
Not sure whether any particle filters, e-fans or suchlike have been added.

Must admit, I find the 900 services tend to stick to as much of the timetables posted on the Nexus website when I need to use them. Is there really that much an issue with them compared to timetable listings.
Mind you, if I'm going from Gateshead towards Sunderland or Shields and the replacement start at Newcastle I know to not even bother trying to get on at Gateshead and head to Newcastle in the first place.

Either 26 or 27 more than likely as it was a Crusader branded bus operating a Crusader route

They have the demo on the X66 so won't their be a spare bus for a few weeks.
They could reinstate a Waggonway as a possibility as 1 or 2 are spare at the moment.

Riverside have a few citaros which are spare for any citaro route based at riverside

Over the last week I’ve noticed several Newcastle/coast bound Coaster 1’s omitting Gateshead Hills St. They seem to be travelling down High St & onto the Tyne Bridge, rather than on to Askew Rd & into Hills St.
Has the route changed?

Ye, they have 5 spares, 1 spare will go on to the 26/27, no need for another to lose a Citaro.
Just reinstate a Scania.

Yeah the last service changes made the 1 and 11 stop at stand H in Gateshead Interchange and serve the stop by Tesco on Gateshead High street I think it might be an attempt get some passengers off stagecoach

Tends to be Stagecoach pass holders who travel locally between Gateshead and Newcastle, so cant see it being a 'poaching' attempt with GNE.

Are there any Solars in service, or have they all been withdrawn now?

Thanks for the quick reply.
Following the recent bus fire at Jarrow Bus Station are the Citaros staying in service? Passengers could be concerned there is a serious issue and it could happen again. Not the first Citaro on fire.
