It would be stupid to perpetuate a useless brand.
Anyone know why a Red Arrows B9 runs along towards follingsby roundabout like the 4 does as I have seen that a few times and 3 omnicities today

I'm guessing it's the 921 in the morning. There's 2 of them going towards washy at that time.

6084 has a full rear-ad for Dalton Park, not sure when it appeared, if anybody is interested though.

Probables, can't see them going on a main route, could see them used on work/school routes though

Believe the remaining Vykings/Presidents are due to be withdrawn by September from what I have been told by other enthusiasts when out and about, although there were no mention of what the replacements would be at the time.

The presidents were supposed to be withdrawn once the B9's arrived from London, that hasn't happened, probables due to other things so September could be a likely month or even earlier, like July with schools been off for 6 weeks, they won't be needed unless the metro is planning a major closure.
Special events over summer too, Tall Ships etc. Not many spare deckers in the fleet now, not many scholars deckers to use for a busy summer. A fair few deckers expected I believe, and be interesting to know if all will be retained.

The first thing I thought about when seeing the photos, was whether they were to supplement a seemingly ever shrinking fleet or to replace vehicles within that fleet.
Most of us can remember the state of play a few years back, when scholars services were lost/not retendered and deckers were cascaded and disposed of.
It took quite a while to bring the decker fleet back up to a decent and reliable complement.
The deckers sourced in the interim (Notts and Dublin Oly's plus London ECW's if I remember right) weren't the most presentable or reliable.
I would hope lessons were learned.
They weren't they only local operator to have had their fingers burnt in that period either.
ANE got a lot of the Hartlepool Tall Ships work and needed to source stock to fulfill operational demand.
Pretty tatty stock it was too.
5389 now in corporate livery.

They can always sell them on after the summer if they don't need them - that's all Go Ahead London would have done with them now, so probably the cheapest option to cover extra work over the summer.
They appear to have been fitted with exhaust after treatment taking them up to Euro 5 emission levels.
I'm sure Go North East will have tendered for the scholars services every year.

Go North East will of updated the timetable style so its inline with the new style, as its the same as the one on the Go North East site.
Has 6033 transferred to washington and will this be its last runs?
The following Ex London Volvo B7TL / Wright Eclipse Geminis were at Saltmeadows today.
WVL252 - LX06EAY
WVL254 - LX06EBC
WVL269 - LX06ECC
Any word on the fleetnumbers or how many are coming.
If they are coming in an unbroken block like the B9TLs the from the ones I've seen their's a gap of 17 between highest lowest WVL fleetnumbers, unless some in the middle have been sold elsewhere already.
Just love paying double the fare I pay during the day on an evening on the no. 9 like to get to my destination
Another merc has burnt down now in Rome today. Starting to look more like ticking time bombs now.
Was it a Citaro? According to Wikipedia, more than 40,000 had been built between 1997 and 2014. Statistically, it could well be doing not badly at all...

It was a citaro. Looks like it needs a serious look at. There stagnated, Jarrow and now Rome. Apparently its the ninth bus to burn down in rome this year so there could be more.

It is the 9th this year, and there was 22 last year!

I hope there's no issue with the 26/27 Mercs. I need one on Sunday.

Doubt it, its not like all the Ciatro's in the fleet are setting fire, only had 1 major and i think 1 minor.
Why is 4969 black cats running around on a 78?
Also I past an x7 yesterday on the coast road at Seaham displaying just the destination TOWN CENTRE on it. Which town centre?
