You don't mean 1329??
Streetlite 1564 operated the 11:20 X93 departure from Middlesbrough with a full load and quite a few standing. At Guisborough some passengers were refused travel due to the bus being so overcrowded. The driver advised passengers to wait another hour for the next X93. Absolutely shocking Arriva put 1564 out on a very busy journey with Decker 7426 on the 62.

But the thing is though 7426 could need to be kept closer to home(Redcar) rather than sent out on the X93 as it could have a fault with it

1564 was still on the 1620 out as well!

How about giving Redcar sufficient spare deckers rather than sending them all to Northumberland.

Or, even more radically, how about Redcar actually fix their B7's so that they can manage to operate anything away from a 10 mile radius of the depot?

They have 9 deckers to cover 8 workings, which is 12.5% spare - a pretty standard spare percentage.

I believe 7425 is up for test this week and 7426 is on the naughty list. The reason buses on the naughty list end up on 62s is because they go right past the depot should a problem arise. Plus double decker so it can't go anywhere else local apart from 81s but then your dealing with a break down at potentially Stokesley on an hourly service. It's not right the single deckers should be on that service at all between March and October I totally agree with that but a single decker is better than no bus at all. As someone quite rightly pointed out if they didn't keep sending all the deckers northwards this wouldn't be an issue. They need to plug the X93 as best as they can this season because it won't be too long before EYMS/GNE start knocking on the door

The Yorkshire E400s will be replacing 10 and a half year old buses that have been on express work since new. Nobody was saying that all the deckers were being sent to Northumberland when Redcar got their B9TLs, and the X18 had to make do with E400s...

It also isn't Ashingtons issue that Redcar still can't properly maintain their vehicles, which has been an issue for as long as I can remember.

They could have made an effort on 1759 seeing as it's been over a year since the Sainsbury's bus finished and it's still going round in it's Orange livery.

I'd assume it's Arriva's Commercial/Marketing Department at Doxford Park who decide what gets painted and when.

At its age, I'd assume 1759 is nil book value and ready for disposal as soon as the opportunity arises, which I'd guess is why they're not really up for repainting it.
