Those colours work so well together, unlike the yellow on the corporate!
If the indigo brand is changing then please actually make it indigo, not pink,i'd say that livery on 673 is for Wear Xpress
Which depot will be operating the 28B on a Sunday if only operating between Newcastle and Kibblesworth. Chester or Riverside, Versas or Solos or other?

Get rid of the Pink above windows and leave black (for Logo / "Strap line ",Route if specific etc...)
Pink triangle below window needs to be different colour that blends better, or use Harlequin style design blending Gold, Beige, Dark Red/brown etc.. - e.g ... like that on Etihad Airways Tail pattern.

Use of Metallic paint in similar shades would enhance image.  Metallic Blue (Durham Diamond shade)and Metallic Dark Red on Corporate Livery, also  replacing White with Silver and/or Yellow with Gold.

Variations of the colours above on 673 remind me of close resemblance to new East Yorkshire livery, which is good at blending Traditional  with modern corporate design

Thoughts...

By the timetable it's looks like it interwork with the 28

I think it's the pink that really sets it off and it'll look strange if it's missing from the top

Looks really smart, looking forward to seeing what style brand will be put on.

Brand might look quite nice with white as the style.
Using up extra paint from the East Yorkshire buses?

Is that another omnicity repainted in the reflection?
Okay, so I've been playing around in Photoshop again, and mocked up a few images of what the Streetdecks *could* look like with the new livery (minus any actual branding, I struggle to think of what the branding could be without covering the windows)

I know I'm a tad biased, but I actually really like the way they came out, especially the Angel

Also completely ignore the Solo, for some reason trying to delete the attachment does bugger all

New Wear Xpress? Or Indigo?⅔

Confirmation via Go North East's MD's Twitter that these Solos are destined for the X6/X7 and X20 services:

No, just one of the ex-Stanley examples, down at Saltmeadows at the moment as the N/S panels have been scraped.
Will 673 go straight to depford? also is 672 staying at percy main?

I would imagine the solo's dwap on the 19th May.

Which other Solo'as are getting USB's fitted?

No it already looks too much with the blue added.

Horrendous.

Agreed!

Also, I noticed there is a dot missing from the website and now I can't unsee it!

I also photoshopped 6103 to have 'corporate' livery and it looks quite smart imo

Much better! It looks simpler and less busy without the yellow.

RE these

I don't mind the blue on the front (or the yellow on the side to cover that one), but I do think it would have been better if they had applied the blue in the same way that Stagecoach did to their Carlisle Solos

I think as a result of all these service changes we will see the ex Thames Travel Optare Solos 697 to 705 go to Percy Main with 691 to 694 to Deptford replacing 697 to 700, then 679/680 from Percy Main, 681/689 & 690 from Deptford to Washington replacing 701 to 705.

So what exactly is going to percy main in trade?

I think it's less about the way they applied it and more the fact it's such a harsh contrast in such a small area

Wouldn't it make sense to send the ex-thames solos to Riverside to link up with 710-714 then send 626,628,633/4 and 722 from Riverside and 637/8/9 from Deptford to Percy Main. Means Percy Main keep full Solo SR allocation as they gained a extra couple of buses from loss of 333 and K3, Riverside keep all the older Solos and 697-700 can be replaced by 691-694.

Also means full Solo SR ops at Deptford
I hope they dont send those nasty old solos to Percy Main,we have enough trouble with those solos at Arriva

That would make more sense actually, hadn't thought about it like that.

I rode them more in Oxfordshire than I've managed to do up here bizarrely. Only had a couple since they came up.
At the time, they weren't too bad for Solo's. Didn't seem as skittish as some

But if the indiGo brand is staying on North Tyneside, would they want to unnecessarily repaint vehicles?

These are absolutely fantastic; your Photoshop skills are perfect.

Was it ever confirmed the indiGo brand is staying in North Tyneside? I don't think this was ever the plan.  Angel
9087 returned to Wrightbus.
My very quick attempt at a concept design for the rebranded Durham Diamond livery, which I've sent over to Martijn Gilbert.

Whilst they look superb, can we keep the fictional bus liveries to the relevant off-topic thread please?  Smile
