Arriva to upgrade 52/53/54 to sapphire
The branding style will be that the nearside will be branded for the 52/54 Newcastle, South gosforth, Quorum, Killingworth every 15 mins
And the offside will be branded for the 53: North Shields, Shiremoor, Killingworth, Dudley, Cramlington every 30 mins

1574/5 will be spares
With 1576-89 being branded

1579/80 will come to jesmond in trade for 2 if jesmonds pulsars

During the refurbishment the 7424/69/74/75/78 will be loaned out to jesmond during the refurbishment of the streetlites allowing them to be taken out 5 at a time for refurbishment.
They will be taken out numericaly so the order of refurbishment will be the following:
1574-78 then 1579-83 then 1584-88 and the last  one 1589 will go for refurbishment on it's own

The buses will be internaly repainted and get new sapphire style flooring
And will feature white LED displays on the front
Tgey will also be branded after refurbishment before entering service and again will be branded and enter service in the same order as refurbishnent
After the first 5 enter service there will be announcements for the 52/53/54 on all sapphire viechles

What do you think?

This should be on the fantasy thread in Other Discussion not on here.
or just repaint them in Standard livery, fit USBs and not bother with branding them?
So, it's 2820 that's the solo that sounds like a pneumatic drill. It's currently stuck in traffic, outside my house and drowning out my washer on its spin cycle.

Hopefully a nice driver can snatch that and put it on ED4...

It’s back at Stockton(if it even left for Durham) and was out on 15s on Thursday.

1922 likewise returned to Stockton on Thursday
Blyth has seen some chaos this afternoon with allocations up in the air, buses not moving and filthy to immaculate buses.
2802 performed the 14:08 1 service to Wanzbeck Hospital, although was delayed due to a defect found on the vehicle and was originally planned to be replaced by 7616, but the 'smart' driver managed to restore 2802 to it's glory and eventually departed 12 minutes late at 14:20.

Spotlessley clean 1402, Pulsar 1497 and original MPD 1769 were covering for Solos on the 2.

Having decided to ditch Solo 2802 on the 1, I boarded the 14:28 Departure to Widdrington which turned out to be MPD 1767. I must say I was left needing a Gas-Mask. From filthy windows which looked uncleaned for months to Untidy Seats which were flooded with hairs, I am only greatful this was just a short trip to nearby Ashington...

It must have been replaced because I can confirm it was 2802, although it is Blyth and anything can happen...

What will replace all the cadets on the 7? And what about 1922?

1534-1536 have replaced 3.

1922 still down as Stockton.
Presumably the 14xxs with NSAs will return to the 7 now.

BIB: NSA-fitted Pulsars still down for use on 17/17a from the 17th. 7 boards reportedly listed as 'SB120 or Centro'

So the 7s allocation will consist of 1534/35/36/1922/23/24?

Very much doubt it. Have never seen a 153x on there.

Stupid that. They took the Solos off the 7, gave them Pulsars with NSAs. Then they reckoned they needed bigger buses on the 17s so gave then Cadets. Now they've got biggest buses to go round why not give them the NSA Pulsars back?

Apparently the NSA fitted ones are now in the plan for refurbishment, for Service 17.
1917 is now withdrawn from Service.

Reports on Facebook so far this morning suggest neither of the listed Solos have made it to Darlington - as '49' branded 2822/3 have both been reported as in use at Darlington, 2822 on 9/10 and 2823 on 12 (the reason for the transfer - the 12 is now allocated Solos bar one AM trip which remains Streetlite-operated).
Does anyone know the Depot Allocations?

Of what?!
The driver of the X20 that left Newcastle 10 mins ago seems to think it is alright to take 7515 up to alnwick with a large crack in the windscreen.

I'm sure he may have arranged a replacement bus at either Ashington or Alnwick, although ive seen many buses with cracks in windscreen...
1914 heading towards Middlesbrough bus station NIS (around 1120)
4721 ON x4
Whitby park and ride on 62
Has redcar's ex Sainsburys 1759 been withdrawn from service as it's at the back of the depot?

Also any update on which buses are due for their repaint? Are they going to redo the pulsar?
7506 has received an all over advert for Sainsbury's Tu's 'All Boobs Welcome Campaign'. I'll leave that to one's imagination of what that looks like...
4700 out in the new livery today on the 62's
