To replace the some 03/54 reg ALX300s as stated

????????

I think it's more likely a decent portion of the (ex) 'Zone' E300s will be going north to replace the older MAN's. Probably around 10.

No Robin, the work that them buses were doing at South Shields depot (E1/E2/E6/X20/30/X34) will now be done and ran by Sunderland depot.

South Shields will continue to run the 1/2/3/4/7/8/10/11/12/17/18/575 from South Shields depot. South Shields is scaling down it's operations but it will result in lower overheads and keep it ticking along.

But that would reunite them. The whole idea was to split them up.

For now.

They're losing buses because they are losing work. Why would they get buses to replace them?!i

Im very much gonna miss the 03/54 reg ALX300's over recent years they have developed some little quirks 22022 likes its bell to ring everytime it goes round a corner,22067 and 22068 both make a kind of whining sound when its revving up (just before it changes gear), but i suppose its time for them to go to pastures new

Only 3 are getting branded but not sure if the others have been done yet.

On 36968 and it's got a Sunderland badge on side of window, near the back of the bus

Wonder if any other buses will recieve the badge?

Edit:

A variety of buses have had the badge applied.

Michael. Can you send a photo of 36968 with the badge showing on the side window. Thanks for Info Robin

That'll go down well with the #saveourwindows brigade!

RBZ5459. Thanks for picture on 36968. Any further news to tell of changes. Robin
Wonder how long it will take for one of the buses with Sunderland badge to stray onto the X24?

Not really, all the info is out for the changes, buses are likely to move on Saturday night, after service, with the rest following on the Sunday.
Cheers Michael for info. Robin
Like to see the x24 interwork with x34

Was expecting one similar to the The Chronicle Sunshine Fund ones in Newcastle. The #saveourwindows brigade will be loving the three in full livery!

Until drivers are vehicle type trained and route familiar I can’t see an inter working if the service in near future. I personally don’t think it would work that well either except maybe at weekends

(18 Jun 2019, 10:06 am)R.Tait wrote [ -> ]RBZ5459. Will we see some gas buses doing the E services between South Shields and Sunderland when the change over takes place. Robin

Perhaps, as I've already mentioned once drivers have been type trained any saloon could end on any route in reality. But the Dennis E300s will still be the normal allocation.

(19 Jun 2019, 4:25 pm)R.Tait wrote [ -> ]RBZ5459. Keep me informed when the changes take place of which buses are being moved on 23rd June. Robin

It's already been said Robin, not just by RBZ5459 but others too.

The E300s are moving for the E services

The E400s are moving for the X34

2 or 3 E200s will move for 30/X20

28022 is the latest gas bus to be repainted
