Whichever one it was - got rear ended at high speed I believe possibly on the A1 or other major road up in Northumberland?

They'll need three buses less at Redcar. They didn't lose any when the two peak summer X93s came off - they kept the two then to cover the college runs.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but it appears that Belmont have had a bit of an NSA update. The 6 has been updated to the new Sapphire branding and also a local female accent. The 56 has also finally gained NSAs, some 3+ years after the Solos gained the systems...

It appeared that a tree has broken the top deck window where a tree guard would have been at some stage during its time as a max branded bus however, due to the fact that the glass on the left is a different brand to the glass on the right and also has the M of the Max sticker missing where it would be on that window, there is no residue to suggest the sticker had peeled off over time so one can only assume it's a whole new window.</p>

Ex-Yorkshire E400 1909 has been renumbered 7558.

</p><p><br></p><p>Well if Arriva is sold in divisions, the most likely bidder for Jesmond would be GNE who would then split the work between Riverside &amp; Percy Main depots (and maybe a replacement depot for Percy Main).</p>

Apparently according to someone at Darlington depot Arriva isn’t up for sale no more until after brexit is sorted

</p><p><br></p><p>Hold your horses...... the article says that Jesmond Depot may be shared with the council as a freight/cargo delivery hub... nothing about the actual bus services.</p>

</p><p><br></p><p>Well if GNE got Jesmond work, they'd likely close it with the routes being split between Riverside &amp; Percy Main.</p>
There would be a significant loss of competition, just because Stagecoach run in Newcastle doesn't make it automatically okay.

The CMA would look at the current market and compare it against what it would look like. Arriva compete with GNE all across North Tyneside and South Northumberland, plus County Durham and East Durham.

Stagecoach compete in Teesside, Hartlepool and Central Newcastle, that's about it.

In the very unlikely event it was sold by operating company, if GNE bought Arriva Northumbria, on the basis of what I outlined above, the CMA would deem it a significant reduction in competition and as such, could enforce certain things (reductions etc). Stagecoach would be preferred from the CMA point of view as it would maintain competition on most (if not all routes).

The opposite would be true in Darlington/Teesside, as GNE would be preferred, as it would still be two core operators.

The Jesmond depot has been for sale for years - https://www.sw.co.uk/news-insights/wheel...n-jesmond/. I thought there were plans for a new 'super' depot to merge both Blyth and Jesmond together, rumoured to be in the Sandy Lane area?

Also, Stagecoach would be a better fit than GNE at Ashington since GNE have barely any experience in rural bus routes bar the Hexham local buses whereas Stagecoach have loads - just saying. No way GNE would be allowed Jesmond and Ashington neither, they'd have dominance in the whole of North Tyneside and the coast bar the 308.

</p><p><br></p><p>The two MAX ones will be - they are both intended to transfer here once Yorkshire’s cascade plan from the new Streetdecks is complete. The two remaining Sapphire examples are only loans so they won’t be.</p>
<p>Query about redcar allocations

For the past 3 days 63 branded pulsars have been allocated onto the 62 ? Seems to be at least 2 on there each day</p><p><br></p><p>Any reason why&nbsp;</p>
