Not surprising in the slightest... nobody is spending on anything at the moment!
Think the region will definitely not be getting any new buses this year. I can see a make do with they is attitude for the next few years so the Alexander Mans from 2003 2004 might see a bit of further use possibly floating around all depots as spares. I think the few remaining darts will be moved to Hartlepool depot as spares for when any of the enviros are off the road ( which is most of the time). Teesside to get a few more Enviro 400 from outside the region but I think that will be it for the year.
Confirmation from Steven Knight Media this morning that the Oxford Tube coaches have been deferred and won't be arriving this year.

Stagecoach Group has confirmed to Steven Knight Media today that the recently announced order for 34 new coaches Stagecoach Oxfordshire has been deferred. The company was planning to upgrade its Oxford Tube fleet with 14.5m Volvo B11R/Plaxton Panorama coaches. Delivery was due to start at the end of this month but the order has been removed from the company’s 2020/21 Capital Expenditure budget.

Personally I think you can expect to see more of this kind of thing over the next few months, as companies cut back on spending as passenger numbers drop from pre-Covid19 levels.
Well, the order list as it stands is easy to type

Will the E400H's stay in Manchester after they've been replaced?

Some are to be used on the ‘Magic Bus’ services which are ran by some of Manchester’s oldest E400 vehicles (07/57 Regs). Magic bus is set to get a new version of the 2020 livery.

Cheers, least some are staying in the area.

It looks like Stagecoach may be going ahead with the original orders as planned before COVID-19 struck - with some changes?

Stagecoach UK Bus
Stagecoach Group has this morning issued a statement in which it says that following a review of its liquidity position, which it says is ‘strong’ it has revised its Capital Expenditure plans. The statement says: “Recognising our strong liquidity position, we have since revised that cash capital expenditure up by around £14m, principally to acquire additional vehicles available for delivery in the short-term”.
Steven Knight Media contacted Stagecoach and asked for more details of the additional vehicle order(s) and also where they would be deployed. There was no confirmation forthcoming from Stagecoach Group who merely said: “we aren’t able to provide any more details at the moment”.
Following the scaling back of the new vehicle investment as a result of the COVID-19 reduction in business Stagecoach told Steven Knight Media that the new vehicle Capital Expenditure programme had been significantly scaled back with the majority of contracts deferred. At that time we understood that the only new vehicles remaining on the order books was the 52 ADL Enviro 400s for Stagecoach Manchester.

Wouldn't expect this to relate to reinstating previous orders, more likely snapping up any suitable available stock (note the referece to vehicles available for delivery in the short-term) to enable increase in capacity to enable social distancing; presumably to oust older vehicles later, once this horrific situation is behind us.
Update to the so-far-confirmed order - there are now at least 11 delivered to Manchester

The Oxford Tube are to receive new Plaxton Panorama coaches soon - an order which was cancelled due to COVID-19 but is now back on.

Maybe it will be the same case for some other orders that were in place before COVID-19 as well?

That's good news, I wonder what else was order for 2020/2021?

Hopefully new buses for the NE.

Sadly not. They are only going ahead as the chassis had already started arriving at Plaxtons as Stagecoach were preparing to cancel the order. So, to help keep people in jobs at Plaxton, they carried on with the order.
The first 5 examples to be delivered are to receive the cherished ‘T-UBE’ plates off Astromegas 50261-5 (T40/44/50/55/60 UBE) which will be re-registered.

There was a mention in one of their investor updates about additional capital expenditure for vehicles due for early delivery - presumably these vehicles.
The first of the new Volvo B11RT Plaxton Panoramas for the Oxford Tube have been delivered and is use for Driver Training.

Stagecoach East Kent are receiving 4 new ADL E400 MMC Smart Hybrids for the Canterbury Park and Ride Service. I assume Stagecoach received funding for these vehicles with them being hybrids?

Not really, as the Canterbury City Council contract specification for Canterbury Park and Ride contract will have specified that hybrid buses are to be used on the service and therefore Stagecoach would have priced their bid to cover the additional costs of buying hybrid buses.
